I wasn't always sure, but I'm so sure now! I'm finally done crying/moaning/sulking about not being able to see them back in 2009/2010 at what many could consider their ''peak'' (even though being a fan since long before then). This version of Welcome To Paradise is still as passionate, energetic and all-round f**ing awesome as it's ever been! Just proves that now, more than ever, they need to do a live album / DVD goddamnit! I mean look at 1:50 !!!5 points

I just saw someone posting that and freaking out because Joey had liked it lmao. Billie's definitely sat around bored at home3 points

Oh yeah, some amount of regret is certainly still there for me too. I mean, they played in my city in 2009, I saw posters everywhere, I so desperately wanted to go! But, alas, it wasn't to be... To think that show was also the one immediately after the gig at Olympiahalle in Munich (MTV world stage 2009)... I'll be honest: At first I was a bit disappointed when I saw live videos of Green Day in 2012/2013. When I saw Billie struggling with alcohol, drugs and his voice and the band seemingly falling apart. I still wasn't quite convinced by the gig they played in my home town in January of this year either (I also wasn't feeling very well on the day, it has to be said). However, the last leg of this tour (Festivals and open-air gigs in Europe) and the gig they played at Greenfield, where I had the opportunity of seeing them once more, was the turning point for me. Seeing Billie smiling as much as he did there and jumping around on stage was fantastic! That was exactly the kind of Green Day gig I had always dreamed of witnessing, after seeing BIAB, AAF and countless other performances online!3 points

Yeah but it's so wrong I've never seen this before. It's riduculous - he took his shirt off for a couple years ago and we still live off it3 points

It must have been last year. It's definitely more than a year ago, so I suppose it was a performance from around 2013. Probably Rock am Ring. I love Reading but I acknowledge tha the sound of the Rock am Ring recording was very bad indeed. But as you said, those performances are not BAD, they are just not as good as some other GD-performances. And he's a drummer himself and I think he's of the opinion that Tré's drumming isn't very spectacular and a bit monotonous...2 points

His smile aside, that right there is the greatest sight on earth Fucks's sake I'm falling in love with yet another song I just missed seeing live2 points

I hate that the iHeart performance is still so out there and the unfamiliar watch and judge the band by it. I wish I could slap a huge disclaimer on it. I personally love Reading 2013 he seemed to be having a great time. IMO he sounded really hoarse and out of breath at Pinkpop but I figured it was because it was the first show back after a short break.2 points

One of my friends once said that he saw a Green Day concert (on YouTube, I suppose) and that it was really bad. He said that "their frontman" couldn't sing and "the drummer" wann't good either. I've always asked myself which performance of them he saw 'cause all of the pro-shot footage I know ist great. I almost felt personally attacked2 points

I prefer Tre with slight longer and messier hair. Don't think he's looking that bad, he probably struggles with his weight a bit as he can, and will need to, eat like a horse on tour but then needs to cut back or the pounds will pile on. Loving the blue hair though, but never thought the eyeliner looked as good on him as on Billie. sorry, that seemed random, hadn't realised the chat had moved on. They were awesome in 2009/10 but in February too. Don't know how they manage to keep so energised and their enthusiasm up the way they do, guess they just love what they do.2 points

No, I'm fully in support of old men wearing eyeliner and dyeing their hair blue.2 points

Technically he lives in Piedmont but Otis is in Oakland AND he said he was playing guitar so obviously he's working on new material and I'm not jumping to anything that resembles a conclusion to appease my post concert blues2 points

I adore that line as well, especially when all the instruments come kicking in afterwards and the entire crowd unleashes into a frenzy!2 points

I don't even remember the last timE I bought something from Hot Topic, I hate going in there, but today I went in hoping to find the shirt with Blue on it and thankfully they had it! I got an XL, which is a big deal for me because I've lost a ton of weight this year and it's one of the first XL shirts I've bought since 2008!2 points

It is pretty funny isn't it? I'm surprised he didn't post about Game of Thrones. 😄1 point

Wow, that Hyde Park footage ^ We'd better get a live video from this era. Their performances have been on point all tour1 point

Ah no, there are plenty of badly mixed pro-shot recordings which ruin the performance. When did he say this (just to narrow down the options)? It could have been Rock Am Ring 2013 (Vocals awfully mixed and Billie wasn't in top form, don't know about the bad drumming know. After listening to the Hyde Park Broadcast I once again know that Tre's drumming is as good as it ever was. Everyone has bad days though...) The other Rock Am Ring recording was poorly mixed, so was the recording at Wiltern... Or it could even be Reading 2013. I know, it's considered almost legendary by most here. But fact is, Billie was very tired on the day and it showed, Tre's drumming also wasn't at it's peak (understandably), he messed up the drum fill-in in Burnout for example... Still, this is all nit-picking as none of the above are really bad...1 point

You can look up the Warner/Reprise address and try to send a letter there, but they don't usually reply to letters or send out autographs. If you're going to any shows on this tour, they've been briefly greeting fans after most of them1 point

I'm still not over it but almost. Revrad era made up for it so I'm not bitter about it anymore but a bit of regret is still there.1 point

I guess it's 34/36? He's tiny but muscular, so maybe he's a 6 now that he's an adult.1 point

"Went sneaking through her bedroom door to find something in a size four". But he was talking about his mum's clothes and was also meant to be four years old so I don't think it really reveals his dress size1 point

Letterbomb has always been one of my favourites and I'm so happy they finally play it live more often. I remember Billie saying it's his favourite song on AI, so I always wondered why they rarely played it live. The "Where will all the martyrs go when the virus cures itself and where will we all go when it's too late" line is incredible and I got goosebumps every time I heard it live.1 point
