  1. Not sure how or even if this really is that unpopular but I really love Kill the Dj, I love the song and the video to! It's just so fun and I love Billie's vocals in this song.

  2. Said it many many times - Kill the DJ is a funky little tune.

  3. I keep trying to like Rancid because I know other fans do and they're one of my fiance's favourite bands, but nope. Could this replace "Dos is one of my favourite Green Day albums" as my most unpopular Green Day opinion? Also I like Kill the DJ. Fab song.

  4. I was just listening to Welcome To Paradise, and I heard "pay attention to the cracked streets and the broken gnomes".

  5. It was in the Father's Day section if you're looking for it (although my father won't be getting it ). Here is the epic bag itself

  6. I saw a gift bag that says "King for a Day" on it in Tesco and felt compelled to buy it. Not sure what I'm going to do with it since I don't want to give it away but I had to have it

  7. They don't know what it's like to have not seen Rancid in their country since 1998.

  8. For anyone that sees this right away, heart like a hand grenade is on in an hour on the AXS channel. on that note, I was casually scrolling through the guide, saw the title and had a dumb moment where I was like 'hey, they stole the title from green day' before I realized it was theirs

  10. Boring??? Totally demonic verses with some of Billie's weirdest lyrics contrasted with a catchy chorus, and a fabulous evil laugh. I think it's one of their most interesting/least boring songs Rest is GD's cheesiest song but I kind of like it for it, like a lot of the songs on that album the lyrics are sappy but they're sung so earnestly that it's sweet and charming.

  11. Kill the DJ is one of my favourites. I'd pick it over most of RevRad or 21stCB.

  12. Didn't realise that! I suppose it's a relatively new thing that hasn't caught on everywhere, Mother's Day is much older but Father's Day was brought in at some point for fairness/to sell more cards.

  13. Kill the DJ was the song that got me excited for the Trilogy! I had it as my ringtone for the longest time lol.

  18. I know it's huge to a lot of people, but I can really live without Rancid supporting Green Day. I just don't like them and I enjoy getting crushed during Green Day's set but I can't be fucked with it during the support act. I'm not a rEaL pUnX

  21. I've only just discovered this and holy fuck I've been missing out. Honestly if they'd put that on Dos I'd have fucking loved it. Also I just rewatched their Ramones covers at the HoF and my god they look so young. Also I like how Billie couldn't help adding another HEY HO LET'S GO at the end even though it was a crowd of old rich men really not at all suited to punk.

  24. Mumbling Billie is my favorite Billie. Insomniac is the grimmest Billie. Listened to it today when I was in a pissed off mood. Was perfect.

  25. Insomniac is possibly my second favourite GD album now

  28. She literally has Billie's face all down her leg and a son named after him and YOU'RE begging for biggest Billie fan votes?

  29. Yeah another song could definitely work, before KFAD they'd mess around and do call and response during a 10 minute long Paper Lanterns, and now they have songs that are even more suitable. But I also just really like KFAD , so I don't want them to change it . A whole arena of people singing and dancing along to a song about cross dressing/self acceptance is too good a thing to pass up, and it lends itself so well to dressing up and fun shenanigans. It's just the perfect song for them to fully unleash their silly/cheeky/vaudeville/showman-like side.

  30. I like the change of pace you get from things like the KFAD breakdown or slower songs. I'm usually knackered and could do with a break myself , and it's just nice for the whole show not to be the same relentless pace. Never get bored during it either because there's so much singing/shouting along to do.

  31. yeah and even if that's true that he needs a break (Idk if he really needed a break every night that bad they probably wouldn't be on tour, but I digress), they could do it on a different song. Mix up the breakdown, do it on a newer song with a drawn out bridge section, cover some other stuff while they're at it. I imagine people will still enjoy the antics on another song

  32. Not to make it any worse, but yeah. 21CB was the first album of theirs that I anticipated with the fandom. The years of, say, 2006 and 2007 were quiet with a lot of random appearances but I was preoccupied with consuming every ounce of their career as a newer fan at that point, so I was good. But like...2008, 2009, and 2010 were some of the best times, man. I met my best friend through a forum when 21CB came out and 7 years later, we saw Green Day together last month. It was a damn good era. It was probably just after the AI musical's run in 2011 that my interest was waning under the life-change of starting college. And then I was given every reason to remain distant during the trilogy. And now there's this era which...honestly...is quickly gaining rank with me as a favorite era. It's a return to the fandom for me. It's the first era where I've been a proper, self-sufficient adult. It's been good times so far. ...Idk why this turned into a post about my whole GD history, but it did and I'm sorry.

  33. I find: "Give me cherry bombs and gasoline Debutantes in surgery And the headline 'Legalize the truth'" and "Give me rage, like there’s tear gas in the crowd Do you wanna live out loud? But the air is barely breathing Rise of the slums to the obsolete" to be incredibly prescient lyrics in light of the new President. There's nothing close to this level of mastery in Youngblood (though, "fuck you I'm from Oakland" is a great lyrical section)
