They've always played it quite slow, since it's quite a slow song on the album. But, I've compared the live performance of Spark Arena to previous live performances in 2009 and yeah, they've always played it slightly slower than on the album, live performances at Munich, Saitama (Tokyo) and Pink Pop were comparatively quick/slow. I think during the 99 Revolutions Tour it was then played quicker again (see live at Reading or Rock Am Ring), but now it's slightly slower once more. I also noticed that they played it marginally quicker on the second night in Auckland than on the first, but it's only a tiny difference. I think the problem is, they've become a lot more consistent when it comes to tempo. This means, if they start out at a certain speed, they'll most likely remain at that. So, when Billie does this 1, 2, 1234 thing with the crowd, it gives him quite a slow starting tempo... Their playing on this tour has been a lot more precise and consistent than on the 99 Revolutions tour, where it was more sloppy and less consistent, therefore however more energetic... Btw. coincidentally this is my favorite song too!

i'm liking this for WICA and not KFAD but yeah, it did seem like that at the Brisbane show. I would've liked if they'd swapped it for maybe Walking Contradiction? Even Warning or Waiting, or something from Insomniac!

haha what a frustrating dream.

Last night I dreamt that I went to a Foxboro Hottubs show. When I got there, I realized you needed some kind of paperwork to get in (I guess because entry was so limited?) I saw Billie Joe walking around and I told him "this was gonna be my first FBHT show but I can't get in! I don't have my papers!" He was kinda a jerk, lol, he just blew me off and was like "I can't do anything about it!" next thing I know I suddenly have the papers I needed to get in. When I looked at it, none of the questions made any sense and I couldn't fill it out so I STILL couldn't get in. Then I was walking around outside and I saw someone I knew, who let me copy his answers and fill out my paperwork. I got into the show and even though it had already started it was AMAZING, of course

I agree, it seems very slow. Also my favorite and I assumed my heart would explode when I heard it live for the first time. Sadly the audience count in was the best part of the song live. Hey guys, speed it up just a bit for the summer tour, okay? Thanks.

Besides KFAD medley crap the only song that seemed not to hit its mark on the OZ tour was WICA. I don't know what is was but the energy died. Perhaps it was played too slow? I hate saying anything bad about my favourite GD song & the song that got me into them.
