  2. He found his soul under the sofa pillows, meaning that after losing his way (as most of the song describes), he ended up finding himself literally under his ass. In other words, it was there the whole time. I love it so much. Then it paves way for the last line, "congratulations I found myself somewhere now", which is in contrast to "I'm running late to somewhere now" at the start, the same phrase but two totally different meanings. As an aside, the line also makes me think of the Longview video which gives it an extra nostalgic feel

  4. I could write an essay about the lyrics in Somewhere Now, especially that line!

  5. How can I be sure though? After all if I'm looking at Tre through my phone I'm not looking at Tre.

  6. Literally my favourite Green Day lyric of all time. Just reading it described like that gives me goosebumps . And I'll totally always be thinking of the Longview sofa now lol.

  7. I can't think of any Green Day songs that do it but there's songs that make it sound like the phone's ringing or someone's knocking at the door that always get me , I'm going to see if I can hear that whistle.

  9. It was definitely a different setlist to the one for the second day in Melbourne, but overall I think there was only one song that didn't feel familiar last night. I'm also pretty sure Amy recognised me and pointed to me! I love them! I'm definitely going to have to get an interrupters shirt before I go home.

  10. That sofa line also reminds me of the sofa in the Longview video HAHA. Youngblood is so damn underrated, it is a great song. I get why it is underrated, but to play it over and over I have enjoyed the shit out of it, very fun to play and sing, I see why Billie loves doing it. It's not a tune you can love within' the first few listens for sure, given the lyrics but the lyrics are actually really good!

  12. Sara, Brit & The Interrupters all watch from beside the stage the side I was on. The Interrupters & GD genuinely look like they are having the greatest time touring together. Also didnt know The Interrupters were at Soundwave - Im a genuine fan. @RisingRedWolf can you confirm - did The Interrupters play new songs last night?

  13. Okay, don't know if anyone's had a similar experience to this or not, but Warning is one of the albums that i would always listen to while mowing. And whenever it would get to Macy's Day Parade, i would hear - there is something on that song like a bird chirping every so often, or something like that - anyway, everytime it got to that song, i would be mowing along and hear this little whistle. Then after a little while i'd hear it again. And i always would think it's somebody whistling at me to get my attention, so i'd stop the tractor and look around, and of course - there'd be nobody there. Somehow, EVERY time i mow and listen to that album, i manage to forget about that part of the song, and it catches me every time

  17. Well said, man. Sums up my thoughts perfectly. Some people just don't seem to realize the sacrifices artists make to entertain them. They could honestly quit whenever they want (Not that that's going to happen anytime soon!), but they don't because they clearly love what they do and they love their fans too. To me, as long as they have fun and stay safe and keep releasing great music, that's all that matters.
