  1. the entire band/crew were out (minus mike and brit) having a few drinks. security for the band, like harry said was extremely tight, i tried saying a quick hello to billie upon arrival but was very quickly shut down by personal security. tre was very kind to fans and told his personal security to back off so that we could all talk to him personally. an amazing night! one that ill never forget

  2. Wow, that's just amazing to me. To think that some people actually went through the effort of posting 0/10 and saying that the band had "betrayed" them for releasing RevRad- that just makes me want to puke. But then I realize that this type of opinion can't possibly be taken seriously. We're so flipping lucky they're still around, decades later, touring their asses off and putting out new music (which, in my opinion anyway, is excellent)...and some people write that they wish that they would have preferred that they hadn't even put this album out at all? That is not only completely ridiculous, it's offensively inconsiderate of the fact that this is an incredibly lucky situation for music in general- bands don't last this long, this is an incredibly rare occurrence. I'm going to stop this post here because I feel I'm generating the type of reaction those trolls are looking for. And if that's what fulfills them, well, that sucks for them! And for those that did- well, sorry, but I love everything this band does, millions of others do as well...and that's not going to change. I hope those poor trolls find their happiness and meaning in life somewhere eventually!

  3. Today my friend was giving me a ride home. He's a huge U2 fan, so he was telling me some cool stuff about them. Then I started talking about Green Day and he brought up that they did the Saints Are Coming which I completely forgot about! Then I showed him Letterbomb and he loved it and I hope I've made a new GD friend!

  6. Well said, man. Sums up my thoughts perfectly. Some people just don't seem to realize the sacrifices artists make to entertain them. They could honestly quit whenever they want (Not that that's going to happen anytime soon!), but they don't because they clearly love what they do and they love their fans too. To me, as long as they have fun and stay safe and keep releasing great music, that's all that matters.

  7. They did try some new and different sounds on Warning and Trilogy and people freaked out and said those albums sucked. So if they try something new people get mad, but if they sound the same people get mad, What are they supposed to do? It seems to me that some people are never satisfied. As they have said in past interviews they make the music they like. It's what makes them happy. We are lucky that they share it with us and should be grateful. Just my humble opinion of course.

  8. We are trying. Security is extremely tight. We can't even go say hi. Absolutely freaking out tho.

  11. I love all the 'every time he does this it gets faster' videos It's just so nonsensical but hilarious! I'd love a "y'know" version Listening to Bullet In A Bible, or any of the live songs that I have on my iPod, is so much fun because most of the time I know when Billie Joe will say something like "alright!" or "get those hands up in the air!" and I'll shout along with him

  12. Haha, same! It doesn't even make sense but I can't help it. One habit I've only adopted after I got into GD for real recently, even thogh I listened to music just as much before, is mouthing the words when I'm listening in public. I can just about keep myself from singing out loud but I've almost stopped caring about looking weird.

  13. Since I obviously also do housework, I'll give myself the clearance to answer haha But joke aside, any album will do, although usually I keep my songs on shuffle. I'm also one of those weird guys that loves listening to Green Day Live. However, the downside is that I can get a little to overexcited or carried away at times lol (I'll be singing: ''eeeh- ohhh'' and shouting: ''1, 2 - 1, 2, 3, 4'' during Hitchin' A Ride for example )

  14. Ha! I was doing spring cleaning with Green Day on shuffle yesterday. But I felt guilty anytime I left my room, like I was missing something and needed to hit pause first.

  15. What a lovely mental image Don't really have one go to album for that (says it all about my housework habits or lack thereof). I've had Kerplunk, BIAB and Uno playing recently, but I usually end up getting distracted from the work to just sing along and get into the music, so not sure how much they actually help.

  16. Ladies, what GD albums do you like to play when you are doing housework? This morning I managed to get a lot of housework done while listening to 21st Century Breakdown. I was going mad with the duster when Horseshoes and Handgrenades came on!
