Oh that was fun, thanks I should probably be concerned, but at least the people who get angry about travelling fans can't say I don't like Green Day3 points

Listened to Demolicious since it's been a while since I last listened to it. And wow, I've forgotten how good the songs sound! Some of them are much better than the trilogy versions2 points

I was at the Grammys with a friend and we were sitting somewhere high up. Tokio Hotel got an award for something and then suddenly Billie, Mike, and Tré got up from their seats and started going through the rows and giving autographs. Billie skipped our row, but Mike and Tré came to us and signed something. They were about to leave when Billie told them "I got it", so they could stay with us. Mike sat down next to me and we were mostly quiet but every now and then he said something - it was pretty awkward. Then suddenly he got up from his seat and came reaaaally close to me and showed me his profile with his stupid turtle grin and said "Do I remind you of someone?" Tré showed up behind him and did the same pose. They obviously thought that they looked alike or something. I grinned at him happily and said "No, but you look like the mother from Lizzy McGuire!" He beamed at me and said "Really???", I nodded and said "Yes!" and then I woke up2 points

A friend of mine on fb saw the post I made yesterday about it being the 2-year anniversary of the Sweet Children/Green Day show I was at. Today he posts a picture on the post and says "look who I bumped into at the record store?" Sure enough, a clandestine photo of Billie Joe standing in the lobby of the shop 😂 My friend is a total non-fan, could not care less that he was standing ten feet away. Meanwhile all I could do is laugh at the frustration of trying so hard to "bump into him" for 23 years without much success 😆2 points

The first run through of the video I got 92 on the quiz. Some I missed because I was trying to remember a previous song and yeah, most of them were 1,039/SOSH songs that I missed1 point

For Everyone Who's Felt Personally Victimized After Hearing Green Day On A Classic Rock Station https://www.buzzfeed.com/daves4/wake-me-up-im-old?bftw&utm_term=.xuVB83dzA#.kmgkXrVJZ1 point

Even though I wouldn't consider myself a big fan of 1039, I really enjoy Don't Leave Me. The guitars are just so punchy and I love the harmonies1 point

Thanks for the link to the quiz! I've just done it and I got 79 right! I think that's pretty good for someone who only bought their 1st GD album 14 months ago and is still trying to obtain all the albums. It was mainly the 39/smooth songs and a few brain farts that stopped me getting more.1 point

Just listening to BBC Radio X and they've having a competition to win VIP tickets for a gig - people who entered voted for which artist they wanted to win VIP tickets for. It was between Green Day and Richard Ashcroft and Green Day won with over 70% of the vote Not sure if it counts as news but it made me smile.1 point

I just had a dream that Mike found out who is biological father was and it turned out to be Vladimir Putin.1 point

Well at least you would be getting to hear GD on the radio! Radio in the UK is awful, DAB has been a complete con, there are hardly any stations left on it and nothing playing rock music of any kind that I can find, despite what they may say. Have to use internet radio to get rock stations and that's not always great depending on work etc. It is a little scary to hear them taLking of being a bad for 30 years now though!1 point

OMG, I was reading that, and when I got to the Aerosmith followed by Green Day one, I was thinking "they can't play that on the same station, they're like 20 years apart, it would sound strange", and then it hit me that something released right now is 20 years younger than Nimrod, so same dif. If you need me, I'll be curled up in the corner breathing into a paper bag.1 point

In this Ernie Ball: String Theory video, Steve Vai gives Billie Joe's guitar playing some praise: https://youtu.be/5caGv0ajsl8 - at 7:48 Steve Vai says, "Have you ever see him play? It's visceral. Every note and every chord pops. It sounds like a giant orchestra. That's hard to do, but it was in his head. And he required a particular technique, amount of technique, to follow what he was hearing in his head." "If this is what they call the good life, i want a better way to die" I loved this line when i first heard it, but i feel like i'm just now really getting it. It couldn't sum up how i feel right now any better.1 point

I was reading the lyrics to Jaded and honestly don't think I had ever considered them, I mean I've heard the song a million times but I'm a drummer so I normally focused on Tre...any way the lyric "Always move forward / Going straight will get you nowhere" struck me as really profound. I love Green Day so much.1 point

Okay so this is more of a nightmare but here it goes... I dreamt that me and my buddy were renting this 60's/70's Brady Bunch style house out in California. Green Day show up out of nowhere and say "hey! We need your house for a video shoot tonight!" and "we need you to invite as many people as possible and we'll play a bunch of songs!". Most of my dream was spent walking around town getting the word out. Anyways at 8pm there was hardly anybody there and Green Day shows up and is REALLY ticked off. They decided to trash my place and yell at me for my failure as a gig promoter. Tre Cool actually threw his sticks at me and both hit my shinn's. Haha. Thankfully my dog woke me up because in my dream I was about to cry from letting the guys down. I need to see a therapist...1 point

Whenever I have a Green Day dream, it almost always involves a Green Day show in this huge arena and me and maybe 3 other people are the only ones there. Then I chat to Billie Joe and I wake up. However, the other day I dreamt that Billie Joe was my cousin1 point

This is a long one, but it's really wierd and interesting so please bear with me! It was night and I was with Billie Joe (who looked exactly like he does in the Boulevard of Broken Dreams video), Mike, and Tré (both dressed in their typical concert getup) in a van and they were driving to a concert they had scheduled to play a little later, but we had to stop at Billie's place first because he had to check on something. We got to his house and went in and Billie went into the kitchen to make sure the succulents he was cultivating on the window sill over the sink were okay. Adrienne was there and I introduced myself and she was really nice and started showing me around. Apparently they were both avid plant lovers because out the window Billie was at in the kitchen there was what looked like a vegetable and flower garden. There were also a bunch of cool exotic house plants all around and one of them looked like a small eucalyptus tree. I think there was some bamboo also. After that, we had to get going to make it to the concert on time so we said goodbye to Adrienne and left. Mike and Tré took the van, but Billie wanted to go a different way so he took another car and I rode with him. It was fun and I was asking him all sorts of questions like what songs they were going to play at the show and which ones were his favorites and we were also listening to Green Day music on one of our iPods hooked up to the car stereo. Now here's where the dream gets really fucked up, like I don't even know what the hell my brain was thinking at this point. We came to this toll booth type thing and suddenly we were on foot and the only ones around except for the guy standing and guarding the way through. It looked suspicious so Billie and I stuck really close together as we approached it. The guy stopped us and explained that only one of us could go through as we were, so I had to be turned into bacteria by some sort of beam thing and Billie had to swallow me so we could both go through. We were both kind of stunned into silence and it got so quiet and I was so close to Billie that I could hear his heart start pounding out of shock and apprehension. Then we both slowly turned and looked at each other and he looked as worried and uncomfortable about this as I did. But we both agreed because we had no other choice so we did it and Billie swallowed me and walked through to the other side. Apparently I wasn't harmed by his stomach acid or anything because he managed to get himself to throw me back up and I was myself again and just fine right after I was out. We obviously both felt pretty awkward, but continued on our way and somehow managed to make it in time to the arena Green Day was supposed to play. We walked into the backstage green room area and Mike and Tré were already there. When they saw us, they asked "What took you two so long?! And why does she (referring to me) look so disturbed?" Billie had a weird, uncomfortable look on his face and walked over to explain what had happened. I stayed by the door because I was still pretty rattled and didn't want to talk, but I noticed as Billie was telling the story that Mike and Tré occasionally glanced over at me with understanding looks of apology and sympathy. I knew, and so did Billie, that what happened certainly wasn't anyone's fault and everything was okay now anyway, but it still felt strange and a little unnerving being around him after that. Then the dream just ended...1 point

I had one where the came to play for my school and i was supposed to play part of the show with them. Before that happened, though, the tasteless freaks I was forced to call classmates walked out on them. I got up on stage and played to no one with them. Then it turns out they had never taught me any of their songs or something like that. Then it ended.1 point
