  1. Well really just one person noticed she hadn't been posting much and wondered about it. Not much of a discussion.

  2. Sometimes she goes on tour with them and sometimes she stays at home or does other things, sometimes she posts on social media often and sometimes she posts less often. Nothing unusual.

  3. I think I've been following the tour threads too much, I was listening to Revrad and got confused when Good Riddance didn't follow Ordinary World.

  4. I've had various opinions on Billie's Letterbomb speeches over the years. Some are better thought out than others. But what he has been saying lately about love and compassion and that patriotism isn't exclusive is pretty damn awesome. It would be easy for him to just say fuck America, and people would agree with him, lol. But instead he's trying to unite everyone in the room while still pointing out the problems. It's wonderful.

  6. Because releasing 3 was such a great idea?

  7. So true! I got chills watching the one from Georgia (1.50) the other night. Actually wasn't far from venturing in the fangirls thread to gush over that passionate delivery, haha.

  8. Six hours before you replied the three post "discussion" had ended with me pointing out it's nothing unusual. There was no need to launch into a rant about it, and now there really is a lame discussion going on . So maybe we should all drop it.

  9. St Jimmy is such a masterpiece. I'm listening to it on a loop. (I REALLY HATE TO SAY IT BUT I TOLD YOU SO, SO SHUT YOUR MOUTH BEFORE I SHOOT YOU DOWN, OL' BOY ! that's my jam man...)

  13. So well deserved though! You worked hard on that shit, so great to see it getting recognition

  14. Omg how dare you insult that line! It's tongue in cheek And you can always listen to Road to Acceptance for "we're all the same"

  15. There's no definite answer, but wearing something fun like a onesie or silly glasses might help and he often goes for people with colourful hair too. He likes flags so you could try taking your state flag. Marki is right that he said "if you have a sign I'm not going to pick you" at one show, I think it was Brussels. I'm sure he has picked people with signs before but I wouldn't take one in case he's having a day when he doesn't like them

  17. "I've got a really bad disease" has got to be one of the worst lyrics to open a song ever. I can't get passed that in RLS

  18. As for DRB it's meh. The first part and second part aren't too bad, and might work ok as fully developed, individual songs, but the final part? With the random key change, time signature change and the random, unconnected warbling on about getting carried away (where did that even come from?!)? No. You gotta admit though, the bass and guitar solos in the middle are pretty damn cool

  19. The only way it could possibly work would be to do a The Wall type thing—no dialogue, no singing. Just play the album front to back with quality actors doing their best to channel emotion without saying anything. And look how well that worked for the "Jesus of Suburbia" video.

  20. As much as I love AI as an album, they're already borderline flogging a dead horse. A movie would just be ridiculous.

  21. The fact that everyone acknowledges that Billie is a horrible actor is yet another reason that I am baffled that people still want the AI movie to happen.

  22. I think it is quite popular to believe the trilogy should have been one album. But I do not think it would have changed much in the eyes of the mainstream. There still wouldn't be a song on their that would have charted at all on Hot 100 or gotten top 40 airplay, which is pretty much required if you want a Grammy. To us on the forum, sure, if there was some quality control I think I could have viewed the trilogy fondly, but not much would have changed.

  23. I think if they made the trilogy one double album, it could've been one of the better records they've put out and maybe could've won another grammy.

  24. It's actually probably one of my favourite threads! Green Day Chat ain't too bad - just stay out of the fangirls thread!

  25. It's not their fault if AI worked well. 21cb, I can understand because of the copy-paste of AI and the overproduction, but AI, it's..... I find it very ambitious and well written and... And I love every song from it. It's the first time I hear this (unpopular) opinion

  26. That three note lead guitar run in the chorus of 21 Guns is the most annoying thing they've ever done.

  27. I like Mike's voice better than Billie's. I also like John's drumming better than Tré's, in a way. I just feel that Tré's style is more suited for poppier songs and John's is better for harder ones. I can only dream of what Insomniac would have been had Mr. Sobrante percussed...

  28. Nice title for the topic! Anyways, everyone knows I think the trilogy sucks, I don't need to say it again. (This is my way of saying it again without being too annoying. )

  29. I just find it amazing how one band has resonated so well with me. I was listening to my ipod and "Judge's Daughter" came on. I rocked out and then "X-Kid" came on next. And I proceeded to rock out again. I mean I sincerely love all of their stuff. (Except for a few songs here and there.) /endmushycomment

  32. Good that we can rant about our Green Day thoughts here! I love watching random videos of Waiting being played live. And sometimes, I just go on watching interviews and biographical documentaries. (Reads: MTV Driven) They just inspire me to no end.

  33. It only really struck me yesterday how incredible the lyrics of Jesus Of Suburbia are. Obviously loads of people love the "home is where the heart is" line, but every single verse speaks to me on some level. For a song with so many lines to be so consistently great lyrically is just mindblowing. There's just so much that seems to get overlooked due to its length. Plus the craftsmanship in putting so many "soundbite" type lines together and making it not seem over the top is admirable.

  34. Dammit, that's what I thought he said..

  35. Billie is borderline impossible to understand in a lot of songs off Insomniac. I still have no idea what half the lyrics to Bab's Uvula Who? are.

  36. I freakin' love threads like this. I also like how the mods come in and rescue new threads now! Makes me happy. Up until about a week ago, I thought the lyrics to 21st Century Breakdown went, 'We are the class of, the class of thirteen!' I had completely forgotten it was really, 'We are the cries of the class of thirteen', haha.

  37. Isn't it "The town bishop's an extortionist, and he don't even know that you exist"? I've misread a lot of lyrics but for some reason I can't think of any right now. edit: Thought of one! Jaded. I thought it was "Somebody keep my pants I think there falling off." instead of "Somebody keep my balance I think I'm falling off."

  38. When I first heard Jesus of Suburbia, I was really convinced there was a section about cats. Something along the lines of, "I have a cat, if you don't. I have a cat, if you don't. I have a cat, if you don't cat. I like cats." And I'm pretty sure I still don't sing any of the correct lyrics for American Idiot, haha.

  39. In Minority where he sings; "For crying out loud, she screamed unto me", I thought he sang "screamed under me". A bit perverted.

  40. There is a thread in the general section of the forum about misheard lyrics here Anyway, I always thought Billie sings 'No one knows' at the end of No One Knows. I couldn't understand why the lyrics had 'I don't know' instead. I had to listen very carefully to hear he really says I don't know
