I think Forever Now is intensely personal. Specifically that "I want a better way to die" line is filled with so much meaning, it's not angst. If you're doing something to yourself that could kill you and you realize you don't want to go out that way...that's not something a teenager could fathom. But I'm biased, I think Forever Now is the best multi-part song they've ever written. It flows, its coherent, and it feels deeply honest.8 points

My dad misheard the good riddance line 'another turning point' and thought it was 'another turnip boy' lmao he was going around telling everyone that he liked green days 'turnip boy song' until I overheard one of his conversations and asked wich song he was talking about lmao... and my art teacher misheard american idiot as 'dont wanna be an american in a yacht' haha too funny6 points

I've seen this Where's Wally type puzzle in a few different places. I think it's quite good. How many GD references can you see?4 points

The flow and coherence do it for me. I like that it's different from other long songs they have and I believe FN is a songwriting improvement. It's not a bunch of short songs thrown together but one piece of music.4 points

Okay, just discovered I've been singing She wrong for 23 years. I thought "Are you feeling like a social tool without a use" was "are you feeling like a sex show doll without a use". Mind blown.3 points

This was on Green Day's subreddit the other day. The person who originally made it also posted a link to an updated version he/she did including RevRad references-2 points

I like the Somewhere Now part because it links FN with the song Somewhere Now- it's like FN is the thread that ties all of the songs on Rev Rad together. I also like the guitar riffs after I want a better way to die. And it doesn't feel like a song that's nearly 7 minutes long. Also Still Breathing and FN are a perfect pair at the end of the main part of the set- I'm so pleased they chose to play those songs together.2 points

Exactly. Homecoming and JOS feel like a bunch of separate songs, FN just flows together.2 points

I like all of them, they are all good in their own ways, but FN is different and that's what makes it stand out. It also has great lyrics. "I want a better way to die" may sound emo, but if you read into it a bit more, it's actually very meaningful.1 point

Ah! Wasn't sure if you had seen that. I was definitely surprised the first time I saw it.1 point

Wouldn't that be 1 out of 2?? But I 'm going to ask him nicely to do Troubled Times.1 point

Of course, still would be a surprise to see them play the Superbowl together though1 point

It's on versions of the Know Your Enemy CD single. It is also on iTunes if you want to buy it digitally. Please don't ask for free downloads here, that's illegal and the forum can get in trouble for that.1 point

Forever Now and Troubled Times are both great, so hard to pick which one is the best. I call it a tie1 point

Well probably yeah... But then Troubled Times1 point

I've heard it since the first time...I can't say I dislike Youngblood, though. To me it sounds like a song from a cartoon. I really tried to hate it but it made me laugh the first time I heard it and next thing I knew I had it on repeat. Youngblood is hilarious.1 point

Eh, no I never really made that connection before I like Youngblood, She's a Rebel not so much1 point

Yeah, Troubled Times is probably my least favorite on Rev Radio. I don't hate it bit don't care much about it.1 point

Not sure why but today I was imagining the kind of show Green Day would put on if they ever did the Superbowl. 10-15 minutes and maybe a famous guest or two. Imagine them trying to fit the hits into that length of time and they could have Joan Jett as a guest, or someone we'd never expect like Snoop Dogg1 point

Youngblood is a better song than Troubled Times1 point

I like 'we're all the same' simply because it would be easier to enunciate - I didn't realize that he was singing 'outlaws' for a good while after first hearing the song. Outlaws makes more sense though to be fair. He is specifically talking about how setting fires etc is not meant for him, therefore...we are not all the same. Another lyric I realized I'd always misheard is "I can see through you cause you're wearing thin" in Haha You're Dead....I always heard "I can still do you" (meaning I can still kick your ass, not the other thing, lmao)1 point

I love Youngblood so much! I don't care if the lyrics aren't very creative, I just love it. It reminds me of AI-era Green Day for some reason, it's just the sound and his voice... it seems so much younger He's a real youngblood.1 point

It's not an unpopular opinion but given FN and JOS were discussed here a lot I will add my 50 cents: Guys, to be honest, I've never been in such love with a Green Day song through my 12-years-greendayfan-experience as with Forever Now. It has every fucking thing I love Green Day for. It is as angry at parts as during the younger days, it is as reflexive as they became now, it is as epic as they sounded during AI - 21st CB days, it has this classic rock vibe which Billie adores and always wants to show his connection to it and it is simply PERFECT live.1 point

Imo i think that the trilogy wasn't that bad, the bad thing about it was that it became a trilogy. They could have made it a 12 track album or something. Because there are some really good songs there. Not quantity - quality1 point
-
Just cause because we're outlaws YEAH!!! is like the most badass lyric ever though1 point

Wow, Billie had on hell of a boner last night. I guess we all know that it's been a while since he's been with Adie. I guess we really can't complain if pictures like these are the results.1 point
