Anyone ever listen to a few Green Day songs and just think "Wow Green Day are the best band ever in existence"

I love how Words I Might Have Ate is quite different to the rest of Kerplunk. It's actually a really refreshing track to end the album with (I never listen to Kerplunk with the extra songs on it!)

I listened to Warning in the car today the whole way through. It's so good. Quality album, and the lyrics still blow me away. Also, I just realised 'I'm branded, malajusted' in Armatage Shanks does make sense - he's not calling himself malajusted, he's saying others label him that way. It's the pause that confused me I've always been like 'wtf does he mean by he's branded' This is literally me all the time, lol

I don't want to try and force you , but having a discussion about music is totally fine here (encouraged in fact), and we don't tolerate people being dicks to each other over it. So I hope any time you do want to discuss something about GD you'll feel free to, I always find it enjoyable.

Not really an intentional GD reference, but our drama teacher in school was explaining a skit to us and one of her imaginary characters was named Billie Joe. I had a slight meltdown

The Forgotten is so underrated. I love the music and lyrics are something I can easily relate to. The arrangement is simple but emotional enough to the spirit of the song.

While what I'm about to say isn't about Billie as I don't know him don't know his thoughts etc but people can be around a whole crowd and still feel like they're alone and by themselves

I've noticed that Dad always watches the same GD music videos- he's watched the long version of WMUWSE so many times he knows all of the words during the talking parts of the video! And he's seen Basketcase, Time of Your Life, BOBD, and AI a load of times. So I've slipped him a small list of videos to start off with- WICA, Minority, Macy's Day Parade and Still Breathing. He's seen footage of the Leeds gig (he was gutted not to go with me) but the sound wasn't too great on phone/camera footage on YouTube. Hopefully, he will like the songs I've told him to try.

Tre went to a club to watch Sara's band play at Kut Fest and Chris Cote's band was playing there too. I put some pics from that event over in Fan Photos in the Green Day pictures forum. Chris Cote is in the band Kut U Up. they were on the Pop Disaster tour with Green Day and Blink. Holy fuck I took a break from Revolution Radio for like a couple weeks and I just listened to it now straight through without skipping a single fucking song and its so much better than I previously felt. Its actually really really good in my opinion and with the current climate of things its pretty relevant and a great way to vent emotions. Somewhere now is still my favorite. I dont care if it makes me sound lame but Green Day is really fucking incredible and I wish more people would give them credit.

Don't worry, they'll be there next year and they'll win the best rock album with RevRad. I really hope so. The album has a great potential, I hope it'll do well!

The Forgotten is a great song! I do think it's one of the best in the Tre record. But I do agree that it is pretty underrated.

I'm surprised there aren't a lot of pictures of Billie's dick on the internet. He flashed the crowd at least a dozen times during the Dookie and Insomniac tours. Were cameras that slow in 1994? How's that for random thought? Do I win?
