Was working out to Tre today. The wife came home early and we ended up slow dancing to The Forgotten and Brutal Love as the album replayed automatically on the DVD player. Was a beautiful moment as it is Valentine's Day and shit. This band is just something else.2 points

I don't think this warranted a thread, but as we were talking about publishing rights in class: Is Green Day, or even Billie, signed to a publishing company? I know they are now represented by SESAC for performance royalties, but what about publishing rights? Company or not?1 point

I believe the Trilogy records did great! I really liked the tracks and album design on the three. My top favorites are the Uno and Tre. Dos did good as well, but not as good as the other two.1 point

Don't worry, they'll be there next year and they'll win the best rock album with RevRad. I really hope so. The album has a great potential, I hope it'll do well!1 point

I'm so glad they played Are We the Waiting during the European tour. I've always liked that song and I'm pleased they found a place for it on the setlist. It sounded great live.1 point

I'm going through the extremely difficult process of ordering my top 30 favourite Green Day songs, and having to listen to a lot that I tell myself are my favourites. And I just... god, Brutal Love is a masterpiece and I can't overstate how much I adore it. It has landed firmly at #2 which is kind of a surprise to me, but also not really because everything about it from the lyrics to the melody is just perfect It's one of those rare songs that feel like they could change the rhythm of my heart, however ridiculous that sounds1 point

^^ Yesterday I was listening ¡Tré! and I almost forgot how much I love Brutal Love, it's such a beautiful song, Billie's voice sounds amazing and is one of my favorites live, that scream after "something for my trouble mind" still gives me chills, ugh I love it so much and it makes me sad that they don't play it live anymore and probably never will.1 point

This performance strikes me so deep. I cry almost every single time, and it shatters me not knowing if I'll ever get to hear it live.1 point

How lovely to see some love for The Forgotten . I really love the ending lyrics of it, very nice sentiment to end the albums on. And I'm also a sucker for strings.1 point

I'm listening to Bang Bang on a loop again... this song is everything. Everything about this song is perfect - the speed, his voice, his scream, the drums, the guitars, the lyrics, the message... I still get butterflies in my stomach when I listen to it and even though I'm physically quiet I'm shouting along in my mind. It's not just the feeling it gives me now, but the feelings it gave me when I first listened to it. It takes me back to when I was lying on my back in my bed, earphones plugged into my laptop, volume turned up to the maximum, not understanding a single word but still excitedly letting it fabricate my brain into mush while staring at the ceiling with wide eyes and absolute amazement. Almost crying because after years of waiting, my favorite band was finally back, better than ever, and everything was just getting started. Remembering how this was literally the only song I listened to for weeks. A 3 hour car ride would turn into 3 hours of Bang Bang. If it wasn't Bang Bang, I wasn't interested. I couldn't get tired of it and I still can't get tired of it. And then seeing them on stage at the AMAs, performing this glorious song, being their glorious selves, doing the "No Trump, No KKK, No Fascist USA" chant and Billie letting us do it at the concert, joining in... I only have 100% purely positive emotions about this song. ... oh yeah, and I still hear "...Hulk Smash of men, they claim responsibility for the executions..." in the radio chatter.1 point

I LOVE all the songs that have strings in them. The Forgotten, Good Riddance, Restless Heart Syndrome, etc - and Viva La Gloria actually nearly made me cry when I listened to the instrumental version. Ugh I love it1 point

Green Day's Armstrong: The One Thing I Regret About 'Uno, Dos, Tre' Trilogy Billie seems significantly less critical of the trilogy than last year, says albums should have been published at once. Green Day frontman Billie Joe Armstrong was recently asked whether he regrets the three-album strategy of the band's 2012 "Uno, Dos, Tre" trilogy. He told Guitar World: "Oh no. The only thing I would have done differently is I would have put all three records out at the same time. I wouldn't have staggered them. That was the only thing. "But that was just this crazy time for us. Just throw down some songs and it's all about the moment. Don't think, just play. Don't think, just write. If it's flawed in any way, it's because it's me unfocused. But I think that's the beauty of it too." Last year, Billie shared a few far more critical comments of the trilogy, telling Q Magazine: "Those records have absolutely no direction to them. It was about being prolific for the sake of it. So we were just going and going." He also told Kerrang: "I was pretty fuzzy. It was pretty cloudy in my head, so I can't really remember that much about it. It was great and I think there were some really great songs on there, but it's... You know, we took a break. We took the sort of break we needed." https://www.ultimate-guitar.com/news/general_music_news/green_days_armstrong_the_one_thing_i_regret_about_uno_dos_tre_trilogy.html1 point

Also, I love how when people want to throw the Green Day isn't punk argument around the first band they compare them to is the Sex Pistols. Yeah, because John Lydon is very punk rock doing I can't believe it's not butter commericals, if we're gonna get that petty. Personally, I don't care what they call themselves. I still love their music1 point

Not having one song from Insomniac is the real serious issue! Not a cool thing to be happening at the shows.1 point
