  1. Just watched Brodway Idiot again. 1) realised I the one time I've been to the US and New York was right after it premiered and 2) Billie and Adrienne (+Tré) as they hear LAst Night on Earth for the first time is too intense for words

  2. Funny how once upon a time Billie said he hates to shop and yet it spent today in Carnaby Street.

  3. Nuclear Family was the perfect way to start an ambitious idea like the Trilogy. Needless to say that it's an underrated album opener.

  4. The hangover from your first Green Day concert is awful. You look forward to it for so long then it's gone in the quickest two and a half hours of your life. Thank you Green Day for the best performance and showmanship that I have ever seen in a concert.

  9. Green Day's Armstrong: The One Thing I Regret About 'Uno, Dos, Tre' Trilogy Billie seems significantly less critical of the trilogy than last year, says albums should have been published at once. Green Day frontman Billie Joe Armstrong was recently asked whether he regrets the three-album strategy of the band's 2012 "Uno, Dos, Tre" trilogy. He told Guitar World: "Oh no. The only thing I would have done differently is I would have put all three records out at the same time. I wouldn't have staggered them. That was the only thing. "But that was just this crazy time for us. Just throw down some songs and it's all about the moment. Don't think, just play. Don't think, just write. If it's flawed in any way, it's because it's me unfocused. But I think that's the beauty of it too." Last year, Billie shared a few far more critical comments of the trilogy, telling Q Magazine: "Those records have absolutely no direction to them. It was about being prolific for the sake of it. So we were just going and going." He also told Kerrang: "I was pretty fuzzy. It was pretty cloudy in my head, so I can't really remember that much about it. It was great and I think there were some really great songs on there, but it's... You know, we took a break. We took the sort of break we needed." https://www.ultimate-guitar.com/news/general_music_news/green_days_armstrong_the_one_thing_i_regret_about_uno_dos_tre_trilogy.html

  10. Don't worry @Scattered Wreck is forcing me to embrace KFAD on this tour - she will love Youngblood after she has seen it live.

  15. I think you can't write down only one setlist that will apply forever, simply because it won't. It changes on your mood, your emotional state. For example, every single day of my last two months deserves its own setlist.

  16. Interesting way of looking at it! I'll believe this theory from now on!

  17. Restless Heart Syndrome has the power to make you reflect and make you want to burn down a barn at the same time. It's so poignant, yet it speaks the truth in such an emotional, almost frantic, way. It's a masterpiece.

  19. I know Billie doesn't love the song nowadays because of its message of hate, but wouldn't it be cool if they played Platypus dedicating it to Trump? I'm sure they feel something very close to what is described in the song towards the man.

  20. I have a nice Green Day reference I've never shared here although it's already some years ago... in May 2012 I was in the USA with some friends, we were on a roundtrip from Denver through the National Parks in Utah and Arizona up to the Yellowstone National Park. When we passed through Salt Lake City, we saw a music shop and because one of my friends is a drummer, we stopped so that he could look at some stuff and maybe buy some equipment. While he was looking for his stuff, I spotted a picture on the wall and I had to look twice to be sure: It showed Green Day jamming in that music shop. Billie was sitting on a stool playing the guitar and the other guys were trying some equipment, too. I caught the owner and questioned him and he told me that the boys had stopped by his shop some months ago comepletely unexpected, they just came in like "Hi, can we try some of your equipment" and also bought some stuff. Tré signed some drumsticks and left them there for the owner to sell, but unfortunately, they were already sold out, so my friend, the drummer, didn't get some. What a bummer. But still a great story that makes me smile every time I think about it. Just imagine walking into a music store and finding Green Day jamming there.
