  1. It's actually musically quite epic once you forget about the disjointed and nonsensical lyrics.

  2. HOLY WHOA In this episode of ER (from April 2004) this kid is listening to AT THE LIBRARY in his room. Holy what the fuck I never in a million years expected to hear a 1039 SOSH song on tv. Or anywhere else for that matter. And especially in 2004. Like ok, Good Riddance being on an episode after it came out is one thing, but that is the most random song at a most random time frame. Like, AI wasn't even out yet!

  3. Yeah, and I'm actually ok with the lyrics now too - they capture nihilism quite well and I kind of can look past the fact that they're nonsensical because I enjoy the song.

  5. 138, 141, 143, 146, or 148 days until I see Green Day. They all count

  6. Heaven. Pure heaven. That's the reason they should play that song at least once live. It's such a shame they didn't perform it during the 99Rev tour.

  7. That is a hell of a Green Day marathon, wow, enjoy it! But the post-GD-show-depression afterwards could be a bit worse

  10. I love his coat I'm posting this 2nd picture because I can't see much difference between 2004 Billie and 2016 Billie.

  11. So there's this TV channel called Retro Music and they're playing a Green Day special tomorrow. Feel old yet?

  12. You feel alive. You feel high. You feel rejuvenated. Suddenly everything seems nicer than it was before. Work/school doesn't suck as much as it did before. You won't listen to anything else but GD for weeks. But there is also a thing called post-GD-show-depression, at least that's what I experience. You feel slightly sick because you miss them already and it's like saying goodbye to a real good friend for a while. And you know that the only thing you need right now is another show. And then another one. And another one... Welcome to your first addiction.

  15. I just dropped some serious money on 14 vinyls in various colors. My bank account hates me.

  16. Last night I dreamt that Green Day broke up, and I was their PR manager and had to post the message here on this forum. I just sat at my computer, unable to write. God, what a nightmare! EDIT: And the scariest thing about that was when I woke up and read about the important announcement tonight in Rotterdam, that nearly gave me a heart attack But I guess it'll be a good thing though.

  17. Years ago I had a dream that one of my friends and I were hanging out with Billie in this cook little den smoking weed and listening to him sing a few acoustic songs. It has stuck with me because of how tangible and real it felt, to the point where I've got to remind myself its not a memory of a real life experience. Very sad to say.

  19. Last night I had a dream that Billie posted a new picture of him and Adrienne on Instagram. In the picture, they were at the hospital, and he was a holding up like an ultrasound image, and the caption Billie put on Instagram was "It's a girl!" Then everyone was freaking out on GDC, and the next day Billie posted a picture of a baby girl on Instagram and said something like "Welcome our new daughter to the world." Crazy. Then we found out Billie and Adrienne have 4 kids now - Joey, Jacob, and 2 daughters. (Not sure where that other one came from). Really weird!

  20. Last night I dreamt I was at Leeds Festival waiting for Green Day to come on, when they finally did they opened with a song off one of the new albums that no one new, the very first lyrics Billie couldn't hit, his voice was cracking and he couldn't stay in tune. I was defending them to everyone around me, telling them how Billie had been ill and in hospital. They started to get into it and were being their usual ace selves when suddenly the lights on the stage went out, the music stopped and an advert came onto the screens. An announcement said that Green Day were taking a short ten minute break but the whole crowd left and I was left there holding onto hope that they were coming back, two hours later I realised they weren't and Billie was too ill to perform. Clearly a dream heavily influenced by them cancelling the show yesterday!

  21. I had a dream last night about Jason Freese moving in next door and he had a bunch of weird furry (as in furry culture) parties that kept me awake all night. Then there was something about spanking that donkey in Shrek and a missing newspaper. Sometimes I wonder..

  22. Last night I had a dream that Billie Joe tweeted "I am badass at cuddling. I can cuddle the shit out of you."

  23. I had a dream that I won tickets to the LA show, and at the show, Green Day was auctioning off their clothes and I paid $60 for Billie's pants.

  24. Last night I dreamt Tré was my math teacher. He introduced himself as 'Trés Snoo" and then wrote that in big capital letters on the whiteboard. He taught us about grapefruit an made up an acrostic poem to remember how to spell grapefruit. I had to write it on the board. Then our classroom started flooding and the dream ended

  25. I had a Green Day dream last night. This is so weird as I usually do not have GD-related dreams but man, last night's dream was weird. It started off with Uno being released. For some reason Wow, That's Loud was on Uno and that was the jammiest fucking song ever*. It was so catchy and made you just get up and move. Also in the middle of the album were these two songs that were instrumental and they were electronic 8-bit songs, like from old video games. My dream then jumped to me hanging out at my mom's friend's house with Billie and Jason. We were all dancing around to Wow, That's Loud and then we decided to play hide and seek. Weird fucking dream. *Calling this now. If this song turns out to be amazingly catchy, let it be known that The Ballad predicted it in a dream.
