  1. Was on my way out this evening and heard Still Breathing on the radio as well. Then on our way back, about an hour and a half later, the same station played it again. It's starting!

  2. I don't know, Trump criticizes the current state of the government a lot and personally I'd like to pulverize him (as would many Americans), so maybe it still works?

  3. So random, but I was listening to "X Kid", my favorite from the Trilogy and thought how perfect that song would have been on Revolution Radio, with that mixing, engineering, and in the thematic context of Revolution. It's just a great song and it got lost in the incoherent, underproduced jumble of the Trilogy. It would have fit perfectly on Revolution Radio. Just my opinion.

  4. You have educated the world in the way of the cello! In other news I paid 90p for a can of cherry Coke just so I could make a reference to one of my least favourite Green Day songs I think I have a problem

  5. It's a known fact that Billie is immortal and immune to the ravages of time.

  6. Yeah, revrad production would suit it. It would make a lot of trilogy songs better imo.

  7. That is one of the most uncomfortable sentences I've ever read.

  8. This is the only sentence I can write down after another boring day of school. That blackboard, once full of numbers, now has a meaning.

  9. So, my sister doesn't quite get why I like Green Day. So, I showed her some of their live performances on YouTube. Seriously, some of her comments gave me life... "Oh, come on, does that Billie Jean guy have to go "heeey-oh" every two minutes?" "How many times in a day can those poor schmucks go "fuckin' crayyyzeeey"?" "Oh, ok this King For A Day thing is like a weirdo ritual where they have to embarrass themselves in front of millions of people, huh?" "That drummer has more facial expressions than I have in my entire life!" "Can't quite figure out whether that Billie Jean guy is crying coz of the mascara in his eyes, or just sweating though his eyelids (which can't happen, and would be gross if it did, really)" "Does this guy have blond or brown or black hair or what?' "That bunny getup is kinda creepy, you know" "Those guys should really try out for high jump in the olympics ..." and so on...

  10. Nice one - would love to see bang bang bang live.

  11. I actually don't know my ideal playlist. I'm sure of just two things: - First song: Welcome to Paradise - Last song: Forever Now (epic)

  12. X-Kid was the best song on the entire trilogy IMO. It didn't do well on the radio back in 2013. Maybe today it would be different. I liked Trilogy a lot, production included. But RevRad one is better, except Outlaws. X-Kid in a RR light would be perfect.

  16. That's my man! These are pretty much my thoughts watching their performances (eg biab).

  17. So I showed hubby the Still Breathing video when it came out. Thought he didn't like the song (not sure about the video). But he came home from work telling me that the local alternative radio station played it and he really liked it.

  18. Random thought; is it just me or does Mike always look so majestic when he's playing? Idk he just kind of makes me think of a big, majestic lion. Like Mufasa or something... I mean; (Googled pictures, let me know if it's yours and you want it taken down) Am I making any sense? I'm really sleep deprived and this thought just popped into my head and I was like; yeah, that makes sense...

  19. Aww, you're so lucky! I haven't heard any Irish stations play it so far. I know one station played Bang Bang about twice when it first came out, then a few others rotate Good Riddance/BOBD/21 Guns now and again. I'd love to hear more GD on the radio!! Both of my brothers are the exact same, they just don't understand why I love this band with my entire life!!!! I totally agree! It reminds me of Outlaws in the sense that they're both about youth and past memories. Rev Rad's production would be fabulous for this song!!!

  24. Yeah, it is. It peaked just 35th on the alternative US chart. I like Outlaws very much. I meant I don't like its production. For example I don't feel comfortable in the first verse, it looks like drums is faded. In fact my favourite part is the second verse, where every instruments is clear. Oh, and the bass is simple but awesome...

  25. I didn't know x-kid was a single! Outlaws is awesome. It's one of my faves off revrad.

  26. I was planning on ordering one for Halloween, but alas, didn't get to it in time. Maybe next year if they still have them. I am thinking of ordering some of their coffee though, really excited to try it!

  27. I like it as well. Most hoodies tend to be black so my thought when I purchased it was "who else will have a mustard yellow hoodie?"

  28. I think it's more of a female colour to be honest, probably wouldn't look so bad on females. Definitely getting the one linked above, just another one to add to the collection of black hoodies I have haha

  34. Another amusing anecdote about my mum and Green Day I was telling her about Matty Healy (lead singer in The 1975) being pulled onstage to play bass at a Green Day concert when he was a kid/teenager. Me: Matty was onstage with Green Day when he was a kid Mum: What? How old is he? Me: 27 Mum: ... when did Green Day form? Me: Uh. In the 80s. Her: How old is Billie? Me: Um, 43? 44? Her: HOW LONG AGO DID WE SEE THEM?! Me: The first time? Eleven years ago. Or seven years ago for the second time. She then proceeded to have a bit of a meltdown and demanded I show her a recent photo of Billie, which she was incredulous about and thought was from the AI era

  36. Anyone still remembering freaking out about the 'One week' post back in the 'Green Day in the studio 2016' thread? EDIT: Those were the days. On Saturday we heard rumors about Bang Bang and the day after an unofficial track list (which we now know to be completely accurate) was published. That weekend was legit the one the year's best.

  37. I kind of need someone to hold my hand and tell me I'm not crazy or dreaming. I've now bought my tickets to see Green Day for every date they're playing in Australia. It was a bit of a rash decision to add Perth and I guess I didn't believe it was happening until I clicked to pay for my ticket. This is all very overwhelming. I've never seen them more than once on a tour before, and now I'm seeing them five times in less than two weeks?! Help me, I don't know how to process my emotions right now. Is this actually real life? I can't really talk to anyone about this because no one seems to truly understand how much this band means to me

  41. If there's another song that I would like to hear as a closer it would be Minority. But of course without the Introducing the band part. Recently I wondered what it would be like if they played When I Come Around as the opener , because I love how almost everybody in the audience starts jumping and all the energy gets out. Personally, I think 21st CB was really good one, too.

  44. Ok, I tried to be very realistic using the same schema they have been doing for the club shows. That one should be great for the arena shows! 1. Somewhere Now (just stop with KYE in the beginning) 2. Bang Bang 3. Revolution Radio 4. Holiday 5. Letterbomb 6. Boulevard of Broken Dreams 7. Say Goodbye / East Jesus Nowhere (or even a medley of these two) 8. Chump 9. Longview 10. Welcome to Paradise 11. Stuart and the Ave. or 86 (or both one after another) 12. Only Of You 13. Prosthetic Head (actually I dream about this one) 14. Fashion Victim 15. Restless Heart Syndrome 16. Hitchin' A Ride 17. Waiting 18. Too Dumb To Die 19. Are We The Waiting 20. St. Jimmy 21. When I Come Around 22. Basket Case 23. Nice Guys Finish Last 24. Who Wrote Holden Coulfield? (on some concert Tre randomly plays All By Myseld and DLS here) 25. Viva La Gloria (Little Girl) (just add some 21st CB for god's sake!) Before 26 Billie Joe comes up ranting "We won't play fucking KFAD today, are you fucking ready??" 26. Still Breathing 27. Forever Now Encore: 28. American Idiot 29. Homecoming (I love JOS, but for the sake of variety) 30. Brutal Love or X-Kid or Stray Heart (some Trilogy good song, Brutal Love probably the best choice) or WMUWSE at some shows wheni BJ is emotionally ready Encore 2: 31. Ordinary World 32. Good Riddance (Time of Your Life)
