Random thought; is it just me or does Mike always look so majestic when he's playing? Idk he just kind of makes me think of a big, majestic lion. Like Mufasa or something... I mean; (Googled pictures, let me know if it's yours and you want it taken down) Am I making any sense? I'm really sleep deprived and this thought just popped into my head and I was like; yeah, that makes sense...5 points

Seems unnecessary, we could already hear that the three parts of the song are "I'm Freaking Out", "A Better Way to Die", and "Somewhere (Reprise)" without it being labelled, it's not like it's almost complete songs put together like JOS/Homecoming. Then again they also divided 21st CB into "acts" for no apparent purpose and felt the need to write "I put the riot in patriot" as "I put the 'riot' in PatRiot" in the new booklet too so I guess they like subtitles and spelling things out2 points

That's a pretty great stage name and I truly hope someone, somewhere, is using it.1 point

I know these aren't new, but I was looking for pictures from last night and I saw these and omg, look at those eyes I've been staring at them for like 10 mins.1 point

I will be doing a 4 hour drive to go to an event on the 20th (and then 4 hours back) and it occurred to me that it might be fun to fill that time by playing as many GD albums as I can in order. I definitely wouldn't get all the way through, but I haven't actually listened to a full album in a long time (other than RR). Maybe even make a blog post about it if it inspires anything1 point

Anyone still remembering freaking out about the 'One week' post back in the 'Green Day in the studio 2016' thread? EDIT: Those were the days. On Saturday we heard rumors about Bang Bang and the day after an unofficial track list (which we now know to be completely accurate) was published. That weekend was legit the one the year's best.1 point

That is some of the most silliest shit I ever read. Who really gives a fuck if something meets this definition of Emo? Like does it make it less cool or what?1 point

Me too! I still hear that every time. I always hear that as "don't wanna think about the road." I thought it was a touring reference1 point

That's exactly how I see the Trilogy. They wrote AI, world loves it. They tried to top it with 21CB, didn't work out as well. I feel like they just said "fuck it" and started having fun with writing again rather than trying to outdo what they did before. Does that mean they needed to release all three albums worth of songs? Nah, they definitely could have cut a few out and it would have been better, but overall I like the Trilogy. It produced a shit ton of new favorites for me. But I still haven't listened to RevRad though lol.1 point

I mean, I don't care for it either tbh. I just...tend to not have the patience for slow GD songs. 21 Guns? Skip. Forgotten? Skip. Rest, No One Knows, and hell, even September most of the time. Brutal Love is in that bunch too. The only exception to this rule is Ordinary World. And maybe Good Riddance.1 point

You know how sometimes when you hear a song you have an immediate reaction? You either love it, hate it, or feel kind of indifferent. Of course there are various degrees of those feelings. For me, Brutal Love is just a song - it's not one that I hate, but I definitely don't love it either. It's not a song that made me think "wow, I love this" the first time I heard it. The lyrics are intriguing, but I just don't really like the way it sounds very much. Something about it kind of reminds me of something you might hear on an oldies radio station, like the 50s kind of oldies. I don't skip it, but it doesn't grab my attention and make me stop and listen or turn up the volume. It's just not a favorite of mine.1 point

Everyone seems to love the song Brutal Love... Except me. There, I said it. Please don't hate me for my very unpopular opinion!1 point
