  1. Sorry for the really late reply, but I thought it was due to trademark reasons. 'Novocain' is trademarked, and 'Novacaine' is a common way of referring to the generic drug. Maybe they just wanted to dissociate further from the TM to avoid any legal repercussions, hence switching an A for an O, which doesn't affect the pronunciation in the song at all. I always thought they did the same thing for 'Armatage Shanks', since the toilet company owns the rights to 'Armitage Shanks'. Too much of a coincidence for me that they've misspelled just trademarks in the song titles and nothing else.

  4. I never thought of that but makes total sense! I know NOFX had to change "Valium" to "Valuum" in an album title because of trademarking. With Armatage Shanks I'd assumed he'd just remembered it wrong having only seen it while over here, but when there's two instances of it (and no other instances with non trademark related titles) your trademark theory seems very likely

  6. I think so, but i'm really surprised Still Breathing isn't on the radio! I guess it's not an official single yet though? I'm not sure. Either way, I hope it gets radio play eventually because I see it becoming a huge hit.

  7. I think it was on stage to the crowd, was it maybe during that Dookie era show where he was wearing a clown suit? It's years since I watched it but I believe he and Mike had a go at someone for grabbing a woman at some point during that show, don't know if it was that quote though. Either way I could definitely see that being said by Billie at a show.

  10. BANG BANG is the only song I've heard on the radio. Isn't that the only one that's making the rounds at the moment?

  11. I was zoning out the other day thinking about things, and I was thinking about Green Day. I started thinking about Going to Pasalacqua, and the post wouldn't be called this if I didn't have a new way of interpreting it. I think the song is about falling in and out of love, over and over again. There's the title of the song, "Going to Pasalacqua", presumably based off a funeral home, stating that the love dies. Then, there's the opening line, "Here we go again, infatuation touches me just when I thought that it would end". This means it's happened before, and he's falling in and out of love over and over again. There are a few more lyrics that I can think of that match up, but I'm a bit tired here, and I'm probably using terrible wording and making a fool of myself from it, so I'll leave you with this.

  14. I hear Bang Bang constantly on the radio, to the point that it is almost over played. I have not heard Still Breathing though, and that makes me sad. I really love to hear the songs on the radio, even though I can play them anytime I want.

  18. I wouldn't sing in front of an audience but before I go to a show I'll practice Longview on the guitar because I'm not missing an opportunity to play on stage with my favorite band. Maybe I'll fuck up but the experience still will be worth it. It's great they do it and I'm sure everyone who got up on the stage enjoyed it as selfishly as I would no matter how bad they were.
