I was zoning out the other day thinking about things, and I was thinking about Green Day. I started thinking about Going to Pasalacqua, and the post wouldn't be called this if I didn't have a new way of interpreting it. I think the song is about falling in and out of love, over and over again. There's the title of the song, "Going to Pasalacqua", presumably based off a funeral home, stating that the love dies. Then, there's the opening line, "Here we go again, infatuation touches me just when I thought that it would end". This means it's happened before, and he's falling in and out of love over and over again. There are a few more lyrics that I can think of that match up, but I'm a bit tired here, and I'm probably using terrible wording and making a fool of myself from it, so I'll leave you with this.
