Here's an absurdly long link to an absurdly long interview with Billie: http://www.dailytelegraph.com.au/entertainment/music/green-days-billie-joe-armstrong-doesnt-want-a-pity-party-now-hes-clean-and-sober-after-rehab/news-story/2f6e02f979f31af4e9c0c03477e0b97f?utm_source=SMTimes.org&utm_medium=twitter&utm_campaign=Feed%3A dailytelegraphmusicndm (Daily Telegraph | Music)4 points

Pipeline To A Cure 5 hrs · Look, we're famous! Pipeline has been featured in Modern Luxury Magazine. A big thank you to Barbara Caruso for all her hard work on this article. Shelby and Billy Joe are featured as the lead to the Society and Culture section. Surf's Up! 10.04.16 THE GUESTS It’s not unusual to spot a few water warriors—think boardmen Dave Kalama and Jamie Mitchell, and Olympic swimmers Aaron Peirsol and Jason Lezak. There were other sports stars (the Angels’ Tim Salmon) and musicians, such as Green Day’s Billie Joe Armstrong. His son, Joey, was honored alongside his fellow SWMRS bandmates for raising awareness for the cause. http://www.modernluxury.com/orange-county/scene/surfs-0/1billiejoearmstrongjpg3 points

Fred Armisen talks about working with Billie Joe, and it's ridiculously sweet: http://www.rollingstone.com/music/news/rolling-stone-music-now-podcast-fred-armisen-on-prince-w443245 Around the 21:00 mark: "He is the most positive person, which you don't see a whole lot. But he really is an optimist and he doesn't have any chip on his shoulder about anything. He's psyched to play music, loves punk, loves his family. And approaches doing a movie in a way that's like, 'I don't know, let's try it!'"3 points

"I think it’d be fun to play the Riddler in the next Suicide Squad, that would kick ass”. What an awesome interview, loved it!2 points

I loved it. I'm stoked for AI the movie. The fact that he's writing is making me curious and excited at the same time. I'm still not convinced it's a 100% good idea but it sounds interesting.1 point

Green Day's best 11 lyrics http://www.nme.com/blogs/nme-blogs/green-days-11-most-meaningful-lyrics1 point

The trilogy is massively underrated and seems to be very misunderstood. The three records were like one great record with all the cool b-sides included. Why in the eff wouldn't a Green Day fan be over the moon for these records is beyond me. I love the fun Green Day / Foxboro Hot Tubs kind of songs that were very present on Dos especially but really all throughout the records. I like the honestly of the lyrics and showcasing ideas of fun & love. Not everything has to be a massive political statement. A lot of us are miserable in our day to day lives. Fun is a good thing for us. The songs are fun & different enough to be exciting & the lyrics seem honest & real in so many of the songs. The same people complaining about the cartoony caricature writing of American Idiot & 21CB also seem to be dumping on the trilogy. The trilogy has some of the most honest & raw writing I've seen in years of Green Day records. Sometimes a grown man has a hangover or a crush or a thought about a missing friend or all kinds of crazy stuff! I'm so happy Billie Joe wrote honestly as the character of himself & how he might feel lazy or nostalgic or what-have-you. It happens. And sometimes an artist will write something funny, lazy, epic, spontaneous & strange. I like how the trilogy gives a fan the best of what makes Green Day Green Day plus a whole lot more. Growing up with Green Day has been a blast and the trilogy was a great gift for me. Uno, Dos, Tre was a very ambitious project & am super grateful they did it. I hope they'll play a lot more songs from those albums live. Seems to be missing from the current set lists. Please for the love of all that is good bring back some trilogy songs to the set lists and realize these songs are appreciated & fans would love to hear them again!1 point

------------------------------- So.. I've been re-listening the Trilogy lately and god damn I have some genuinely serious questions for you guys. 1. Why all the hate on Wild One? Even people that enjoy the trilogy claim Wild One is very boring and too long, and as a big fan on Green Day's love songs (AKA Last Night On Earth, 80, Redundant) I absolutely love Wild One, and I find that soothing feeling LNOE brings in Wild One. 2. Why does everyone keep on saying the line "She's old enough to bleed now" on Drama Queen is about the girl being on her period? For fuck's sake. I think is more than obvious that Billie's referring to the girl being all grown up now and once she left her innocence and naïveté behind, she's gonna be able to feel pain and be hurt. 3. Am I the only one bothered that Nuclear Family has absolutely no meaning? I enjoy the song and think it's a fantastic opener for the trilogy, but holy shit. I think I can't think of a single Green Day song that has absolutely no meaning other than Nuclear Family, I guess the song comes across as soulless without a meaning behind it. 4. Why are people so negative about songs like Makeout Party and Fuck Time and the general theme of sex around ¡DOS! ?, like I can totally see myself being on my 40s and still being able to talk about sex just like my current self, I think people are just weirded out and it's very stupid. (Btw, Makeout Party is a BANGER, I don't get why some people dislike it). 5. Since Bang Bang got released, most people have been saying that is 10 x better than Oh Love as a lead single (I agree), but thanks to this I think people are appreciating even less the good song Oh Love truly is. I'm sure that if it weren't for Billie Joe's meltdown and Rehab situation, the trilogy would've been successful and (I bet my bollocks that) Oh Love would have been a Green Day classic just like Know Your Enemy or Holiday. 6. And finally... The Forgotten. I have never been nuts for this song, but now that I have listening to it more times, it really has growned on me. I believe it's a beautiful song and I think I know why most people (including me) dislike it or just didn't payed more attention to it..... Twilight.1 point

Only having 15-18 songs instead of the 37 would not make it better. If you read "In Defense of the Trilogy" discussion, that explains why perfectly. People have different opinions on which songs are better than others. Nobody can agree on the top 15 songs of the trilogy. Because people have differing opinions. If you don't like a lot of the songs from the trilogy, you can just make a playlist of all your favourite songs. If GD only made 15 songs there's a good chance that many of the songs that you like wouldn't have been released. With the trilogy, some songs appeal to different fans e.g some songs are more like the classic Green Day, some are like Foxboro Hot Tubs, some are like AI/21CB. With 37 songs there's almost guaranteed that there will at least be something that everyone will like. I'm actually glad they made it a trilogy.1 point

All I know is the Trilogy came out 4 years ago, and I still listen to it all the time. Not every day, but at least a couple times a week. I don't remember having that much love for any other Green Day album/era. I think it's just the headspace that Billie was in at the time is SO apparent in the music, and it's just really refreshing and honest. I guess all of that, combined with the fact they already had so much much success prior to the trilogy, and with the musical, made me just love it! They could have easily started to unwind and enjoy the fruits of their labor, but instead, not only decided to keep going strong, but 3 fold! I really don't think it's possible that Green Day could have pulled this off without Billie going mad, which he did.. And I'm really excited to see what the new albums will sound like going forward. I know as individual albums, none of them are my favorites, but looking at all 3 together, and the idea, this might be my favourite project/era for sure. I just can't see how it can be topped, especially for a hardcore Green Day fan.1 point
