  2. In a not-so-different world, Warning could have been an absolutely massive album.

  3. For me it's the new album and just the feeling I have about it. They beat my expectations and produced something which stands out both in their discography and amongst other alt rock records. That's no small feat for a band that was considered a legacy act to mainstream public not even two years ago.

  4. That's how I feel right now. I've always been a big fan, but I think it's the pride right now that they're back and amazing as hell that's makes you feel like "fuck yeah, I'm a Green Day fan." And for some reason it just feels more amazing than ever.

  8. I think Demolicious sounded awful. I like the polished guitar sound of the actual albums much more. It's so different from everything else they've done.

  10. Green Day has been my favorite band for many, many years. But lately I feel like there somehow more so my favorite band than ever before? I'm not sure how to describe it.

  11. I just watched an Emma Blackery video and she mentioned Green Day Nothing huge, I just get really irrationally happy when someone acknowledges their existence "You just don't know these things. So don't be in any rush and just don't feel like there's a pressure to conform to a label. You know... oh god I sound like a punk kid who's like 12 and just listened to Green Day for the first time." And I don't know if this has been mentioned before but in the Netflix series "Jessica Jones", they show Jessica's childhood room and there's a big Dookie poster on her wall

  12. Not sure if this counts, but I'm a journalism student (I work at newspapers) and I'm constantly finding myself subconsciously slipping Green Day references into my stories... or resisting the urge to. Science story about space? 2,000 light years away. Sleeping pills story? Insomniac. I tried to make a headline for a photo of an environmentally-friendly event "Green Day," but then I realized I'm probably the only one who would find it clever. It's becoming problematic...
