  1. Brutal Love is bloody great.

  2. So it took a rip like Bang Bang to get your ass back on the board here too, eh? Good to see you again!

  3. I purchased a German promo CD compilation via Discogs. It has all of the band's singles/radio edits up through the 21st Century Breakdown era. Completely unnecessary, but I'm a collector nerd sooo... Yeah.

  4. I've just dared to listen to Money Money 2020 for the first time ever with very low expectations. I have to say it's... actually pretty good. It's not my cup of tea and it certenly is NOT typical Green Day, but it still got some catchy riffs. Combine that with total humor (I laughed from time to time) and self-awareness and you get a good record, just brilliant in its own way. Spike is my favorite song from it. I've seen that some people are still confused and can't tell for sure if they're Green Day, the reason for that is that Mike actually sings in most of the songs.

  5. Bang Bang is such an angry and aggressive fucking song and I absolutely love it. Aggression is great and Green Day need more of it. I think that's what I missed most in the Trilogy. The songs were nice but where was all the anger? Horseshoes and Handgrenades was so aggressive and American Idiot was angry if not aggressive too. Less soft songs and more yelling please <3

  6. I don't think it's anything to do with terrorism, or even craziness. I think it's to do with boredom, disillusionment and restlessness that eventually leads to the narrator having some kind of 'fuck this shit' breakdown. For me, it's always come off as more metaphorical than Bang Bang. I have days when I 'want to lead a long trail of destruction, and mow down any bullshit that confronts' me, but that's a million miles away from the disturbing wish for fame for mass murder that's contained in Bang Bang.

  9. I have a lot of respect for the way BJ talks about the trilogy. Publicly admitting its flaws is quite a brave move, I mean many people would stand their ground and said they're satisfied with it instead.

  10. Sometimes I think that I should start eating popcorn while reading this thread... I'm curiuos what happened with Olivia and Dreamcatcher. I'm wondering if they have even considered them as Trilogy tracks or b-sides.

  11. I think the best 'moment' of the trilogy is the Stay The Night bridge.. Even after 4 years, it still takes me WAY up lol. I can feel Billie was as high as the stratosphere when he wrote/recorded that. The melodies in the guitar work is just ridiculous.. It's as sugar sweet as pop/punk rock gets in my opinion.

  12. I prefer Trilogy over some of the albums yes. Dookie, Nimrod and Warning are my top three and then come Uno and Tre

  13. Assuming I said that On a more positive side of things, I heard Oh Love on the radio the other day and it felt so cool to hear it somewhere I had no control of what was being played and it sounded so great. I am glad to be a UNODOETRE supporter
