  3. Yes in the "Pink and black" selfie it had been straightened for sure with an iron. It looked great, though! I agree, he was GORGEOUS with the blonde curls at Geezer. I was never crazy about him as a blond until that hairstyle.

  4. I loved how curly his blond hair was at the Geezer premier and I'd love to see his hair like that but black. I'm sure he straightens it, or at least in that selfie last week it looked straightened.

  5. My God, he's so handsomed!!! I love how he looks in structured jackets. Probably because then it looks like he has shoulders, LOL. Love the curls, too. He seems to straighten it more when it's black, don't you think? Or are we going to be seeing more curly Billie Joe, even with black hair? I liked how he was letting the blonde curl, that was so nice!! You're right, he almost looks tall in that stage shot in the tight pants. But that's what happens when the photographer is below the stage... besides, we all know he's petite and perfect And I do love his legs in those pants!!!

  6. Agreed. He looks so charming in that picture

  7. His hair looks cute when it's so curly. The coat gives him much broader shoulders.

  8. You've posted yet another picture of him looking taller than what he is! And I love how curly his hair is in this picture:

  11. I think the sound it had went with it, like with American Idiot a more "stadium rock" style of production is what suited the style of the music best. I haven't heard many complaints about the production of the vocals (aside from maybe about the pitch correct or whatever it is on the high notes of 21 Guns), for something that grand and ambitious it needed to be polished, and I think it showcases the best vocals he's ever done. It was received pretty well by the fanbase as well as critics at the time, certainly most people here liked it and it got rave reviews when it was first out and won the best rock album Grammy, and they had a very successful world tour off the back of it. I guess a lot of people compared it to American Idiot and didn't think it was as good and that disappointed them, and it was as hugely successful, but overall it was a success. Some better single choices and not abandoning all promotion of it quite early on to promote the AI musical instead might have helped its popularity but I don't think the production was really an issue.

  12. Lol, I watched it on my phone once. It's been two years, all I remember now is that he was stunning.

  13. He is BEAUTIFUL in cuatro. I watched it for free on Youtube, somebody put it up with spanish subtitles, LOL. Me, me, I want a Billie at home, too. Still dreaming of marrying him, even though I'm already married to a husband of 22 years, LOL. Maybe in my next life. You all can wait in line, I get him first. What is the disturbing dvd???? The khaki shirt

  14. It was originally named Quatro, then they changed the spelling to Cuatro. What do you have? I've only seen Bullet In A Bible but that hardly has any disturbing content. Is it the documantary from Warped tour, or maybe from Dookie era? What kind of disturbing content is there?

  15. Everyone should have a Billie at home *sigh* is it quatro or cuatro? i shoudl buy it, never watched it o.O i have some other weird green day dvd i bought in Texas in 2007 that has some disturbing content xD

  16. I loved this khaki shirt. He really should bring it back...and I should rewatch Quatro. He is gorgeous in it.

  17. I mostly really loved 21CB; it's definitely in my top 3 GD records. However, I agree about the choice of singles. I've always thought that LotAG was kind of bland and missing something to make it stand out, like the excellent wah pedal-ed solo in Restless Heart Syndrome or the angry, urgent feel of Horseshoes and Handgrenades. I agree that Static Age would have made a great single.

  21. Here’s the Green Day lullaby album you wanted Ever wanted to fall asleep to Green Day? Thanks to Sparrow Sleeps' Green Day lullabies album Hypersomniac, now you can. The toned-down album is a nod to the infamous Insomniac that we know and love. The album features tracks like "Wake Me Up When September Ends" and "Basket Case" and is available to order here. Check out their video for "Good Riddance" below, and let us know what you think in the comments! http://www.altpress.com/news/entry/heres_the_green_day_lullaby_album_you_wanted

  26. You have to be a member of Idiot Nation to see it (there's a bunch of videos "Jeff Matika Show" interviews that he did with the different band members in 2013/14 available for members to watch). Not worth paying to join for though to be honest, they're funny but nothing groundbreakingly interesting in them.

  27. I don't like John Kiffmeyer's playing style. Other than keeping the rythm, his parts have never had anything to do with the songs themselves. In short, his plays inappropriate fills and hits the crash cymbals in inappropriate times. But I will give him credit for his part on the song "Green Day", it's really neat and unique to a Green Day song. In my opinion, Tre plays the 1,039 songs better. Everything he does is appropriate to them. What I like about Tre's playing style, is the small build-ups he does. The dynamics in Green Day songs pretty much stay the same and don't change, true, but Tre knows to hold himself and not blasting with killer fills and not hitting the crash cymbals every-damn-chord (Main examples: Burnout, Basket Case). Sadly, today, he just blasts the kit immediately, and it ruins the performance for me. (Of course, I'm only talking about songs that do have these build-ups) Also, he tends to play his parts tighter in live rather than in the studio (Boulevard Of Broken Dream and Jesus Of Suburbia are great examples for that). Tre's style was never about playing technical stuff, it was always about playing appropriately to the song. That's what really makes him a great drummer.

  28. I think awkwardness is created among fans who insist on categorizing him as either "official member" or not and expecting that he has to play the same role as the other members if he's "officially" in the band, leading to disappointment or confusion when he doesn't even though no one ever said he would. The band themselves seem to have deliberately left it much less black and white, they never made a big announcement or anything and instead his role just naturally grew from being a live guitarist who was often in the studio with them to also playing with them on a set of albums. He was credited equally with the other members for doing that but nothing else was promised. Just seems like he plays as big or small a role as suits him and the others at a given time, he's a member of the band but his role within it is flexible. I would love it if he did more interviews! But I suppose it just isn't his thing, and even when he did do an Idiot Nation one a couple of years ago with Jeff Matika asking him fan submitted questions they didn't talk about his role in the band (which seems like it must've been deliberate because pretty sure 90% of the questions submitted were about it ). Still awesome to watch him on stage or hear his contributions to an album, I just think of him as the fourth band member and am entertained by whatever big or small contribution to things he makes.

  30. ...I'd really rather not see pictures proving or disproving Tré's testicle count.
    1 point
  31. I used to doubt it because even though it's a plausible story (riding off a school stage on a unicycle and landing on it badly) they only ever talked about it in a fun/jokey context, and who knows if they were laughing just because it was a funny story, or because it was a joke they made up due to Tre having a high voice, or if the accident really happened but the lost testicle part was an exaggeration. But it's been mentioned in a lot of interviews, over a long period of time (I know of him mentioning it at least as early as 1997 and late as 2011, might also have before and after that but idk), and the story has always stayed totally consistent. And I've never seen them act "nudge nudge wink wink" about it as if they're hinting that it might not be true (like they have, for example, with the stolen Cigarettes and Valentines story). All these things make me think it's more likely to be true than not. That or they're very committed to not giving the joke away I don't know if anyone has an example of them telling the story in a particularly believable way? I guess that's the only way to judge it really.

  32. Yeah, and there was never any follow up on him after he was filmed being bought. I like how 7 year old Joey demonstrates throughout the video that he's far more knowledgeable and competent on the subject of fish ownership than Billie

  33. I would guess he probably died. Betta fish don't live that long, only 2-4 years. Maybe 5 years if your lucky. My Betta Buddy lived 4 years but looked pretty bad at the end.

  36. It's a reference to drugs. Like when someone does cocaine or some other drug you snort they put it on a table and chop it and make it into a line so they can snort it. I've never done drugs by the way but I've been at parties and seen people doing it thats how I know.

  38. Ran out to get a copy of 1039SOSH the original. Used record store isn't too far from me haha. Anyway.... it looks like that's exactly what they did. They simply made it louder. The original sounds a lot better. Probably cause it isn't brickwalled to hell. Remaster top Original bottom
