Today in the gym the S&C coach put his iPod on, and just as I was getting to the tough part of a set of RDLs Basket Case came on. It made me smile, which gave me the strength to finish the set and made the endorphin rush even better . Never knew he was into Green Day.

Yes! I loved All the Time growing up, but it took years to fully pull it apart and understand what was actually taking place in the song. I never heard alcoholism/drug abuse described in such an accurate yet round-about way. And that in itself describes how easy it is to fall off the wagon. It's like he first starts with social drinking/other, and all of a sudden he finds himself breaking resolutions to quit and lying to himself about how it makes him feel.
