Love this post. I might read it all the way through later but I'm making quesadilla's at the moment. I actually haven't done a "just press shuffle one for a while since switching computers. Now I go to Green Day's Wikipedia and pick and choose songs from each album. I'm trying to make set lists that represent their entire career instead "a ton of American Idiot and Dookie with a few other songs thrown in". I enjoy it. Your opinions are valid about the order of songs not really working but that's kind of the idea. My ideal setlist would be super random and stupid, because it would be fun to see. There are some Green Day songs that I believe we as fans will never, ever see performed live, and it's painful for the people who love those songs. and I actually make lists with purposely bad pacing because that would be a change of pace. Sometimes as I'm typing them up I realize that due to what guitars they use/ keys they are in, some of what I am typing up is not logisticly possible. Certain songs are played together because of the tuning/guitar setups/etc. But again, I enjoy making them. And I enjoyed your post as well. Thanks! Here's a coherent set list just for you, man!
1. Sex Drugs and Violence
2. F(woo) Time
3. Let Yourself GO
4. Murder City
5. St. Jimmy
6. Castaway
7. Nice Guys Finish Last
8. Armatage Shanks
9. She
10. American Idiot
11. One for the Razorbacks
12. Disappearing Boy
13. Minority
Short and Fast set list!
One day one of the guys in Green Day is going to be on here, find this thread and they will play ever single one on here.
