I could believe that somewhere along the line Billie started to actually enjoy singing and believe he could really do it and was good at it. I think his voice has become much more of a feature then just necessary to get the lyrics over. I read somewhere that when putting their first band together, Mike and Billie had a conversation that someone had to be the singer and Mike basically said well I'm not doing it, so you have to. I love in Broadway Idiot how he says he can't act, can't dance and compared to the cast, he can't sing, and then blew them off the stage!
