  1. Sorry if this has already been posted, and it might not be anything significant at this stage, but I came across this video a while back, and it looks like the band are getting ready to hit the studio: (Skip to 3:38 to see what I'm talking about)

  2. I have to agree with you. This was a horrible list, other than the fact that Billie did make it. He should have been higher, but at least he is there. How is Bob Dylan # 1, how is Paul McCartney before John Lennon, etc. I could go on and on. I'm from NJ and agree with you on Springsteen. But, I do like Johnny Cash. I don't know that I would put him so high on the list, but I do like him.

  3. That was the worst ranking I have ever seen. How is Kanye a better songwriter than Billie? And how is Johnny Cash number 43? And don't even get me started on Bruce Springsteen. He wrote Backstreets for crying out loud.

  4. http://www.rollingstone.com/music/lists/100-greatest-songwriters#billie-joe-armstrong Billie Joe is number 93 of the list, plus Green Day are mentioned when they talk about Taylor Swift (she's born the same year Green Day released their first record).

  5. I think nothing has been posted here on GDC about the Oakland A's "Green Day Fireworks Night" on September 5th. "The Oakland A's are pleased to celebrate Green Day's induction into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. Fans can enjoy the recorded music of the East Bay natives and long-time A's fans which will be set to the post-game fireworks show. Fans are invited to watch the fireworks from the field, but please note that space is limited". http://www.greenday.com/news/green-day-fireworks-night-7222671 Do you think the band is going to make an appearance? Play anything? Do a secret show in Kentucky to prepare for a secret show in Oakland so I don't feel I lost all my money going to NiFi in nothing?
