GDC in two posts

I got this back in 2012 with my best friend. Months before getting them, we were talking about tattoo ideas for Green Day/Best friends and we became so inspired and drew up our ideas in like fifteen minutes. We were like, this is it!!! They're ambigrams. Mine says Rage right-side up and her's says Love right-side up. So then mine says Love upside down, hers says Rage upside down. We were so happy to finally have a tattoo for both Green Day and each other. We became best friends and obsessed with Green Day at the same time in 2004. Every GD concert I've been to, I've been with her. So the tattoos mean a lot to us. The tattoo artist was awesome, but we were a little disappointed because we noticed that our final product looked a little different from our drawings. I wish it was exactly what I drew, but I still really love it!! This was an advertisement in Guitar World Magazine. Now, I'm pretty sure you can use whatever strings you want, even if you are not in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, but he does look adorable and succeeded and selling me Ernie Ball strings. Is it possible for someone's neck to look attractive?

I think it's just a few people on GDC who like to be negative. There's always been a few, although it used to be that periods of time when the band weren't doing much were characterized more by excessive speculation than whinging and whining about everything (really don't get the appeal of doing that or of trying to make it a GDC "thing" myself). But I still think it's really only a minority of GDCers and Green Day fans in general doing it.

In my opinion, this is one of Green Day's best Brain Stew performances to date (although, it has nothing to with it being played in my home town - that's just a plus).

I've started playing the very start of Jinx where Tre shouts "1, 2, 3, 4" at my dog to shut him up when he's barking. He just stops dead and looks at me utterly baffled, every single time.

21st Century Breakdown is so goddamn good. There are some of Billie Joe's best lyrics on there second only to stuff on Warning. The ending of Restless Heart Syndrome is great. 21st Century Breakdown is great. and Viva La Gloria (little girl) is really good. Both melody and lyrics. Love it.

I'm thinking about getting the 'class of 13' eagle logo on my shoulder blades when I'm older. I just want to do something for 21st CB, it was the album that changed my life, Green Day changed my life, and it's something I just really want to do.
