  10. Are We The Waiting isn't mentioned, but here's one example of that trip being talked about: From here: http://www.rollingstone.com/music/news/green-day-and-the-palace-of-wisdom-20050224 I found that because I remembered red wine being mentioned and googled it. I know it was mentioned in quite a few other interviews/articles as well, including him saying walking around at night looking up at the lights of the city during the trip helped inspire Are We The Waiting. There's probably more to be found in scans of 2004/2005 articles on GDA.

  11. I heard he came up with the story and wrote most od the songs during the trip. Also that he was drinking heavily. I don't know how valid these informations are. Maybe there's an interview where he talks about it but i'm not sure.

  13. Really, why? I find kerplunk way above 39 smooth, lyrically, musically and content wise. to me 39 Smooth sounds like it was written by a 15 year old in his mother's ing room. Oh wait, it was.

  15. That Red Nose Day promo was pretty good. They only thing that would have made it better is if they had Billie on the line going: "What concert am I playing?"

  16. The Letterman finale is playing Welcome to Paradise over a montage as I type this. Glad to see he isn't forgetting the boys after all these years, even if he couldn't have then on the show in person.
