Android is worse than Dominated Love Slave? C'mon now. That's just insulting. I also really started listening to it after the show as well. Not that I didn't listen to it before, but I felt like I could listen to it and actually appreciate certain songs more now. Even Kerplunk, too. I would love for them to re-record early songs with better vocals and production, just to see what it sounds like, but I just don't feel like they're that type of band. You like the trilogy. Your arguments are always invalid.2 points

Ahh, okay, in that case I definitely would be open to seeing stuff like that! I still need to get ahold of TIT actually. Mmm, I think that's a little harsh. I mean, the set list isn't very inspired but it did give us the definitive live performances of She, J.A.R., 21 Guns and Going to Pasalacqua. It *is* a crime that American Eulogy wasn't put on the CD though, or even on the EP in full. The "Nobody Likes You" ending gives me chills every damn time.2 points

I fucking love everything about the artwork used for Dookie. Not just the cover, but the fucking artwork used in the booklet. Especially for "Burnout", gotta love that shit tho.2 points

Here's a random thought: The link above has one of Green Day's greatest videos of all time. No one can argue with me about this. ITS FUCKING INSANE. And the fucking crowd oh lord, its so good I just cannot take it. Its hilarious and amazing and powerful and just pure genius. I fucking love it when they do these rock medleys and EVERYONE in the audience knows the lyrics to every song and its just so joyful because like 50 fucking thousand people listen to the same music and are connected with a strong bond thats made with only a few instruments and people with fucking passion and love and anger and rebellion. Whenever i feel like I miss Green Day I just watch this video then continue to watch all of my other favorite videos. This one gets to me because all of these songs have changed me in some way and to see that Green Day absolutely loves them and that everyone in there knows these songs, it just makes me feel like i have a family somewhere and that there are people out there who are like me. I just crank up the volume and close my eyes and sing along with the crowd and follow Billie Joe's orders and I feel this insane sense of freedom and happiness that i'm deprived from in my daily life and it just feels great to have Green Day in my life and I love them to no fucking end. I'm so emotional right now while writing this down because its my dream to meet those guys and thank them and give them presents so that they can remember me and just hug them and talk to them and tell them about how they changed me. I'm so happy I discovered them and the Green Day fanbase because you guys are like a family to me even the ones I don't know. There you go, i just typed my heart out.2 points

"Android" is one of the best songs on Kerplunk and easily the most energetic. Yet according to setlist.fm Green Day hasn't even played it live... Once... Come on, that's just insulting. I just love how he goes "Waste awaaaaaay" followed by Tre's kick ass drumming. Just a great song and probably my most listened to one Kerplunk (Next to "No One Knows", of course).1 point

They should put each live show from their next tour available for download on their website. That way not only could people listen to the show near them they went to or missed, but there could finally be some official releases of some songs and we wouldn't be relying on all sorts of shitty bootlegs (No, not all bootlegs are shitty, but a lot of them are).1 point

But seriously tho i like the idea of it better. The genre is more dynamic tho billie joe couldn't really go strong enough on the vocals. After they played sweet children at the HOB i really got into that EP really for the first time. Never had really given it much thought before the sweet children reunion.1 point

Another live release would be redundant at this point unless they're really going to dig into deep cuts. BIBA and AAF are each pretty much greatest hits packages with a few wonderful exceptions, and that's all the Trilogy tour was.1 point

The general consensus is that the lyrics suck ass but that's it's one of the best things on the Trilogy musically, which I agree with. Not to overplug Dookiefied Guitars, but the one thing the song is really crying out for is distorted guitars; the album version sounds horribly weak with clean tone, but dirty it up a bit and it becomes the most powerful thing on the Trilogy. It also disguises the filters quite well.1 point
