There use to be a thread on here where someone interviewed someone who actually knew the identity of the girl. It wasn't his sister or Adie, from memory it was a friend of the photographer. EDIT: Found the thread. Turns out it was a friend of Jim Lindberg, formerly of Pennywise & current singer of The Black Pacific5 points

I read that as "GD is back on the road" at first glance and just about figuratively shat myself. Why must you do this to me?!4 points

I hope you guys realize how much you're all blowing my mind, and how many mashups you're making me want to do.2 points
-
Hellz yeah. I also like how on the demo version instead of just "It gets so hard when I'm missing you", he's all like "It gets so....hard ;) when I'm missing you", lol.2 points

I think it was probably just that they like it more I love the lyrics of See The Light, and along with the bit from the start of 21st CB that's repeated they make it a really fitting end to the album, but musically it otherwise probably is one of the least interesting songs on there. Plus every time he goes "I-I-I...I just wanna see the light" I imagine he's going to go "I-I-I...wanna rock and roll all night" instead which doesn't help.2 points

The artwork was designed by Chris Applecore and Pat Hynes. I don't know who the girl is supposed to be, if anyone. I've always associated her with Brenda Spencer, if that's worth anything.2 points

Yeah, Missing You is A+++, and none of the criticisms anyone has had of the lyrics make any sense. The Demolicious version edges the album version because of the guitar tone and slightly different bassline, but the version on Tre is still one of their best songs in itself.2 points
-
The Demolicious version is absolutely wonderful. That song is definitely one of my top 5 from the trilogy, and possibly in the top 10 of my all-time favorite Green Day songs.2 points

21st Century Breakdown is definitely my favourite GD album. It's a lyrical masterpiece. The only song on it that I don't like that much is LOTAG, the lyrics are decent but musically it's kind of boring. I didn't like 21 Guns that much until I saw it live but I love it now. I also love the video, which I know was a very unpopular opinion around the time it came out American Eulogy live it's even better. I would so love to see that again.2 points

RHS is the best song they've ever done. So there.2 points

Oh really? I thought that one was pretty common knowledge. I saw it on a YouTube video once. Oddly enough, You Shook Me All Night Long is one of my fave songs ever, yet I still despise See The Light.1 point

It also sounds like "You Shook Me All Night Long" ...1 point

I prefer pants with goats. So I'm not spamming, have something much less interesting than goat-print leggings. LG Arena, Birmingham, October 27 20091 point

Billie had Fender make some Strats (or Strat?) for the E standard Nimrod songs. You can see where Billie sanded off the two headstock stickers.1 point

This has cam across my mind many times too, but I definitely know that it's not Adrienne because Billie met her when Kerplunk was being made. The first song he ever wrote about her was 2,000 Light Years Away and that is on Kerplunk. I assume that it's just a random girl that the artist decided to use as a female figure to tie in to the lyrics. But who knows1 point

I was wondering, is it Adrienne on the cover of 1039 smoothed out slappy hours? I know the EP's were released long before Billie met her, but I can't remember when they did the compilation at this very moment, plus it looks suspiciously a lot like her. But it seems like I read somewhere that it wasn't her... So I'm not really sure at this point.1 point

*jumps on the Misery love pile* I wish they'd do a whole album of that kind of thing, it's genius. Not even Sweet 16?1 point

Well, I mean, if Billie Joe No. 2 showed up at my door I wouldn't complain. But if I could choose, I'd pick Billie Joe No. 1, tall short, dark and handsome.1 point

Top Ten: Ten songs for Mother's Day "She" - Green Day. "She .. She screams in silence" .. She screams in silence, and his is a silent rage. Of course it's hard to imagine a mother who cries in silence, but a mother sometimes does that too: suffering for us in the deepest place of his heart. http://www.loudvision.it/top-ten-dieci-canzoni-per-festa-mamma/ Heavy road Billie Joe translated page https://translate.google.com/translate?sl=auto&tl=en&js=y&prev=_t&hl=en&ie=UTF-8&u=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.koran-sindo.com%2Fread%2F999454%2F152%2Fjalan-berat-billie-joe-1431228887&edit-text=&act=url Special Discs: 'Green Day album Dookie' Dookie is the third studio album by American punk band Green Day. Misery is so good. I wish they did more story songs like that. Not that I don't like how autobiographical Billie is, but it's nice to have something different every now and then. Money Money 2020 is okay in parts, but yeah, not a huge fan of it in general. FBHT were a much better side project.1 point

Honestly, this is really embarassing but, in Extraordinary Girl, I used to hear: "She's all alone again, wiping nachos from her eyes" (and I still do)1 point

Okay so I managed to get them all scanned. The 3rd one is an a3 poster and I only have an a4 scanner so I tried to match it up best i could all of the pictures are at 300dpi so they should print out nicely! The Trilogy wasn't the first Green Day album I listened to either, since my brother used to listen to them, but I became a die hard fan only during the Trilogy era, well not really because of the Trilogy but still I don't mind if it's hated, I really like it and it'll always have a nostalgic taste to me.1 point

I became a Green Day fan in mid 2013 so their next album will be the first new album since I became a Green Day fan so im super excited for it1 point

I can't wait for Green Day to publish a new album. I know I said they should take their time, but I changed my mind. I want it now. I want to feel the joy from listening to their first song again, I want it stuck in my head for the entire week and pester all my friends and family with it, sing it all the time. I want them to tour again and I want to feel as happy again as I did when I saw them last time. I want to buy a new record and hold it with my own to hands and listening through it and cry and ... I'm being very sentimental right now. I'm deprived of good new music. Hurry up, please.1 point

Random Green Day related story: Yesterday my brother was playing video games in my room. (Need for Speed Most Wanted on PS3, to be specific.) and I heard a familiar song and I attacked him and told him to stop driving so I could hear the song playing on his car's radio, and guess what!?... Stop When The Red Lights Flash is on the game soundtrack haha.1 point

I'm still working on it since I'm a perfectionist. I swear, it'll happen. I have several pages of notes, and a bunch of anxiety when it comes to actually turning them into words.1 point
