I'm from Poland originally so I can't to it If I visit family I wouldn't survive because all you get is sausage and vodka lmao Vegans don't survive in Poland No, I'm just kidding ... it would be interesting to try that out I've been thinking to become vegetarian, not only for those poor animals' sake but also for the environment Oh geez, I wasn't prepared for these pictures... Yes, lovely indeed Now I feel like I need to post a picture of Billie before a Mod tells me to continue the conversation elsewhere Fabulous.2 points

He's aged incredibly well. Yes, definitely that accounts for some of it, too. Billie Joe actually looked younger to me in the pictures at the rehearsals for the Hall of Fame earlier that same day. ^^ So lovely.2 points

I skip Nightlife but I still listen to it every now and then at least since its a gulty pleasure2 points

So I just actually took the time to listen to some songs on the trilogy that I normally didn't give the time of day. (I've been trying to make myself like the trilogy) and I have to say, I really enjoy Sweet 16. Billie's voice sounds fantastic on it!2 points

Dahvid Aleksanyan @DavoAleksanyan Apr 18 Let's take a moment to honor John Kiffmeyer aka Al Sobrante for his contributions. The man who wrote "I was there" off the first record!!2 points

Haha, I cringed a bit while watching the live stream of the red carpet because I knew those pictures wouldn't turn out very good. It seems like that could have been planned a bit better. But yeah, he looked great for the rest of the induction.1 point

I agree. The lighting on the red carpet was awful for taking pictures. I think part of why he looks so much older there is because of how much he's scrunching his face up in the sunlight. Poor dude could barely keep his eyes open! But of course, he still looks hot either way.1 point

Come on, I'm not even much of a fangirl but Billie doesn't look that bad! That's just an unflattering photo.1 point

Yeah, something has gone wrong if saying that "I don't really think the trilogy is shitty don't hit me lol" becomes an unpopular opinion or something absurd in my opinion... It's totally okay to genuinely like the trilogy and own up to it. Just because some people on the internet think they are bad albums, doesn't make it the truth But I've made the same mistake... I'm easily influenced.1 point

Ok, I'll try to give it a one more chance (and find some sense in it). I think I understand what is it about, but don't think it's very well written. Billie could've done a much better job. (clearly he couldn't have, otherwise he would've so this isn't much of an argument I guess )1 point

Well maybe they are meaningful, just not to you Maybe they make perfect sense to Billie and other people who can relate to them. Not me personally, but I do have to say that especially the lyrics of this song appeal to me. And in combination with the string music, it's just .. mwah (okay, i just read this again and it's a bit confusing: I can't relate to the lyrics but I find them very beautiful and would understand why people could relate to them ) I always did that too! It's the last song of the trilogy and I think that many people just over-hear it or skip it (i said this in the Unpopular Opinions thread too), but I think that you really need to take time to listen to this song individually (and perhaps several times) to recognize its greatness And really, the only song? You don't skip Nightlife?1 point
-
Maybe it's just that I have bigger expectations. The song would've been so much better if it had meaningful lyrics. It's so slow that it makes you listen to the lyrics carefully so you just drown in weird nonsense lyrics.1 point
-
yeah, I think it's all a matter of lighting In some pictures he looks really young for 43, but in this one you can really see that he's not that fresh anymore but considering his past (or is it) full of drugs and alcohol and cigarettes, he's aged rather well1 point
-
The music is ok, but lyrics are just meh. If only they made some sense. Vampire Billie apparently needed his blood fix.1 point
-
Had read the posts about Billie Joe looking his age (or not) a couple days ago but just now have a chance to reply. Maybe it's b/c this photo is in B&W but it sorta illustrates what some people were mentioning (like his eyes, for example): He's still hotter than 99.9% of men of ANY age IMHO.1 point

So I'm thinking... ... Maybe the trilogy isn't as shitty as I thought it was*. (Cue dramatic chord) * Well, The Forgotten being the obvious exception. P.S. I still consider the trilogy to be vampire Billie's attempt to resurrect all the dormant vampires in the world to feast on the blood of unsuspecting human beings though. That's the only way I could make sense of DRB and The Forgotten.1 point
