I have my mother´s house for me alone right now, ´cause she´s at hospital until tomorrow (harmless reason). So I thought I bring some albums with me and listen to some music. Hell, I didn´t know she had such good loudspeakers! I blew up the whole living room, playing AI, 21stCB and Stop, Drop and Roll, and I blew up myself. I can´t do that in my flat with neighbours all around and just shitty loudspeakers. But here... just WOW! I really had a blast, and was sweating water and pee... just couldn´t miss this opportunity. These speakers really make a difference, damn, Green Day sound awesome!4 points

I have no idea where to post this, but... I listened to Demolicious while high last night and suddenly the entire trilogy era makes sense. Edit: Oh, what a page own.3 points

Just going through Billie's pictures on instagram. Reached summer 2012 and holy fuck, he looked so beat up, tired and all in all fucked up in these pictures. It's so heartbreaking to see him like that. I'm so thankful he recovered.3 points

I didn't expect it either. It's the only song I've ever heard them open with, actually, which is kind of hilarious. I have a weird connection to it now, whether I want to or not!2 points

It's cool, everyone has their own likes and dislikes. I just think most people would equate your statement with you can stare at the Mona Lisa or Dogs Playing Poker. They both have their merits but one is a legitimate piece of art and the other is just fun. Shhh, I've grown to like the Trilogy too2 points

Green Day have finally made it: they are on Buzzfeed: http://www.buzzfeed.com/annakopsky/this-message-from-green-day-to-their-fans-will-melt-your-hea#.acWjwXox8w2 points

Same! I love that they really went for it with the violins/classical sound, sounds beautiful. And I really love the lyrics of the chorus/end ("Don't look away..."), that simply-put touching and positive sentiment set to that music is a lovely way to end the album. They're both on the A+ list for me, not sure I prefer listening to Uno over Dookie but the trilogy as a whole I probably do. So high five2 points

I do love Restless Heart Syndrome. The lyrics are well-written and full of emotion. Most touching lyrics Billie's ever written.2 points

Yeah I don't like rap at all really, but the melody is decent, and the bassline, drums and little guitar riff/solo thing is decent. Not their best, but not their worst. I'd not want to see them go down that route again, though.1 point

But standard Green Day sound = good music. Uno is just bland, save for a few at the start. It's just boring. Nightlife is alright. It has a novelty factor, it's nowhere near the worst on the Trilogy. It's also balanced out by Lazy Bones.1 point
-
Nah, Uno's just standard Green Day sound without anything that really stands out, Dos has Nightlife and so is immediately a good amount worse.1 point

There's a guy in my shool who wears a black shirt and red tie almost every day. I kept persuading myself that it was a coincidence, but then met him in a Green Day t-shirt. what a nerd ?1 point

That's what I'm saying. No 21 Guns. No Stay the Night. No Missing You, Nuclear Family, Murder City, East Jesus Nowhere, Kill the DJ... fuck. There are so many better, common songs from 21CB/the trilogy that they could've played. Also, as far as I'm concerned, Dominated Love Slave or Fuck Time can replace King for a Day as the "funny" song anytime now. It was a bit tired at this show, tbh, and I'm sad it's the only song they played off Nimrod.1 point

If that happened, my ovaries would explode. I was rather disappointed they didn't play Stay the Night live on Thursday. They only played one song from the past 10 years, and they picked 99 Revolutions?1 point

Im kind of opening up to dos and I like it a bit more than I did before. Is it a great album? Oh fuck no. But I do enjoy listening to it every now and then (Though I skip Nightlife and 1 or 2 others when I do ) I still do like stuff like Fuck Time and Makeout Party and Lazy Bones and stuff.1 point

I think The Forgotten is Green Day's most underrated (or... well, forgotten) song. I also love Take Back so much.1 point

To us who discovered them through Dookie, which is their breakthrough album, it does not get more meaningful than this.1 point

I generally prefer Demolicious over the Trilogy. Acoustic Stay The Night sounds as if he was singing it just for you. It's a lovely version of that song. I'd really enjoy if they included it in an acoustic encore.1 point

Fuck Time to me just lost all its energy in the studio its a perfect live song Some songs aren't meant for studio recordings1 point

The acoustic is awesome Billies voice to me is the most intimate vocals we probably will ever get on record from Billie1 point

The acoustic version of stay the night is unbelievable. The vocals are so pretty. It is not single material but needs to do it live1 point

I love this article. Mostly for these two paragraphs: "But much of it comes down to this: Armstrong is one of the rock's best songwriters in the past quarter century" I couldn't agree more. And this: "Billie Joe was kind of standing there, looking a little nervous, and I turned to him and said, "You're actually a songwriter," Erokan says. He looked at me and he smiled. Then he looked down, like he was a little embarrassed. " I can just see teenage Billie all nervous, looking down, shuffling his feet being embarrassed. It is so damn cute.1 point
