The last few days have been a fucking roller coaster. All our emotions were stored up for years because nothing happened but then everything happened all at once and it all unloaded like fire works on New Year's Eve. And now it's over again.2 points

Thanks for this. Of course, I didn't really understand 90% of what they were talking about but it was nice to listen and try and learn a bit about all their equipment.2 points

So... My brother was whining this morning because apparently, all I bought at Walmart was green apple koolade. And I told him green day koolade was superior, and only after did I realize I did not say green apple was superior... Too much Green Day this weekend. And!... my newest high score this morning with 5520 and highest level is Uno.2 points

At the record store today, I found two copies of International Supervideos! in the $3 clearance bin. They're in pretty good condition too, shockingly.2 points

It's somehow interesting how pessimistic Green Day fandom is. Billie said one sentence and 24 hours later we have speculations about the band retiring or breaking up, Billie getting divorced, Jason dying of cancer, Billie dying of cancer and a hiatus hundreds of years long going on. Seriously, I doubt there are more overthinkers in any other fandom out there.2 points

It is 7 am on a beautiful Saturday morning where it will be 70 degrees today. I have not had my coffee yet and the first thing I do is start playing this game. Jimmy, I hate you.2 points

Oh Love isn't a BAD song as some make it to be but it was a bad first single if it wasn't the first single and was only an album track there'd be more "Oh Love is a good track"1 point

I remember when it first came out - I was at school, distracted all day because I knew there'd be new Green Day when I got home. I got back as quickly as I could, my mum was stood in the doorway, and the following conversation took place: Me: "How is it?" My mum: "It's..alright." Me: "...only...alright???" My mum: "Yeah...the chords are exactly the same as All Right Now by Free, and some of Billie Joe's lead is...hmm." The first few times I heard it I agreed, but it grew on me.1 point

You're a Green Day fan? I'm not being sarcastic, I didn't think any of Andres' friends were.1 point

There's a guy offstage who pushes the pedals (Hans Buscher, Billie's guitar tech, to be specific). This video is really informative.1 point

From Larry's Livermore instagram : Tre: "I told Billie taking that class at Camp Winnarainbow would do wonders for his sense of balance." Billie makes a speech about cake.1 point

Jeff Ott does lead vocals, and Tommy Moreno does backing vocals. She did second guitar on their first 7 inch, but not C#tion as far as I know1 point

Todd's original disagreeing post wasn't rude, it's pretty obvious he doesn't really mean it's seriously not okay to like some songs on an album and that he was saying so lightheartedly. As long as people aren't being nasty to each other/making things personal it's fine to disagree about music. The conversations's got a bit off track so it'd probably be best to get back to Green Day questions now. He was doing it on the Dookie tour, pretty much as soon as they were playing in big arenas I think. I'll find a video of it when I get the chance. I love seeing early videos of him doing that , he did it in such a sarcastic but also silly and playful way back then. Nice way of poking fun at the idea of being rockstars playing in a big venue but also just genuinely having fun and involving the crowd.1 point
