  1. I listened to Dookie in full for the first time in a while today (well, probably just a month or two but it feels like longer) and every song just served to remind me that I fucking love Green Day.

  2. It's easily in the top 5 for me, possibly top 3. I fucking love Basket Case.

  3. I love Warning. The first time I listened to it, I instantly loved it. Each song is just so catchy. Macy's day parade is the perfect ending to the album. If you pick up listening to American Idiot right after warning, it fits really well.

  4. I've always liked it, but I don't like that I'm becoming obsessed with it. I used to be just a casual fan of the album.

  5. I'm not sure if it's been mentioned in the main thread (and 48 pages is a bit much to look through), but I just noticed that the font used to write Green Day on the HOB poster is the same as they used on Kerplunk; that probably means nothing but I like details.

  7. It has always been one of my favorite. It is different than the others and I love the start of the political undertones without losing energy. I've always thought of it as a prelude to AI.

  8. He's a great frontman. Most of us have a problem with hey ohs simply because we've already heard too much of them. I doubt public notices or that common people at concerts get irritated too much but if Billie varied his performances a little more or didn't stretch so many songs with endless hey ohs, less of us would be fed up. Yes I'm a fan. KFAD has just never been my thing though...it's not funny, it's not sexy. It's just long and embarrassing. I don't mind them randomly fooling around, but watching the same set of bad jokes repeated every time is a bore. It's not funny when you can tell what exactly's gonna happen.

  9. Yeah I agree with this. When I go to see them live it doesn't even seem like he does it that much. It certainly isn't in every song, just a few times during the show, and when you're there you're really caught up in the show and it's fun to call them back. I also have to mention that he got the whole hey-oh thing from Freddie Mercury who is regarded by many as the greatest frontman of all time, so they can't be that bad . I find it kind of funny that he started doing it in Dookie times in a much more sarcastic/mocking way but later embraced it as a fun thing to do with the crowd that doesn't need to be meant ironically. Prime example of how he grew into more of a showman.

  10. I like it when he says he's "SO FUCKING HORNY" and moans and grunts. It makes me want to touch myself

  11. He did it on purpose. Billie was planning an illuminati takeover. Somebody had to stop him.

  12. This thread is the Unpopular Green Day Opinions thread, without all the negativity and nit-picking. I love it.

  14. New album news for 2014? http://en.mediamass.net/people/green-day/new-album.html According to a source, rumors of Green Day (Billie Joe Armstrong, ed) working in recording studio are true, with as many as eight songs having been put to tape. “It’s still in the early stages,” “They got security on the doors to ensure no-one hears a whisper,” a source said.

  15. I'm quite sure Billie farted at some point, within the last 2 hours. I felt in my soul. If that ain't news, I don't know what is. Also, I've been seeing posters all over Oslo, Billie's face is everywhere. I'll try to steal one and upload a decent picture later.
