Plus GDA got it's name from that song (was originally called Green Day Minority but then changed to Green Day Authority when it became bigger and more of an "authority" on the band), which automatically makes it cool . I actually always think of "Green Day Authority" when I hear "I don't need your authority" lol.

Probably should take it to another thread but 21cb is a brilliant album - my most listened to.

Y'know yesterday I listen to the trilogy from start to finish - there's some good stuff on it - I do skip a few songs but generally I don't get the hate.

21CB is fabulous on so many levels, but the vocals are just absolutely brilliant. I can listen to him sing that album forever.

I disagree on the songs except for Christian Inferno that should've been left in the recycle bin on the computer It's an amazing album for me Insomniac is awesome but with how Jerry Finn buried the vocals just kinda brings it down a notch Kerplunk is good but I didn't really care for the second half of the album other than Who Wrote and No One Knows

Don't get me wrong, I think it has some great songs on it. Horseshoes and Handgrenades and Murder City are fantastic. Only a small fraction of it for me is actually "great". Know Your Enemy and 21 Guns make me want to jump of a bridge. I couldn't believe what I was listening to when I first heard this album. After highly enjoying albums such as Insomniac, Dookie, Warning, Nimrod, etc., I just hated it.

I think the trilogy is really enjoyable. I do tend to skip Carpe Diem, Makeout Party, Wow That's Loud, 8th Avenue Serenade, Little Boy Named Train and Amanda. When I do listen to them they are good as well. I just prefer the other tracks to these. When they first came I took a two hour drive to visit a friend and it was the perfect opportunity to listen to all three in a row. I had to circle the block once when I got there, but it was a great listening experience.

I think it would be cool to have a Green Day cruise, where it's an album per night on a cruise. Weezer did something like that last year.

It's a record being specially re-released for Record Store Day which is related to a band they frequently feature in their magazine, fair enough to give it a small mention after a Record Store Day related article I'd say.

I wouldn't call the lyrics thin. There could always be improvement. But it does have lyrics such as: "one light, one mind, flashing in the dark. Blinded by the silence of a thousand broken hearts"
