  4. Finally someone appreciates Deadbeat Holiday and Stuart and the Ave as much as I do!! I'm surprised! I have to disagree with Christians Inferno though. I love the sense of urgency and masochistic buildup that boils over in the song. It's pretty much the turning point in the album's storyline. People like comparing it to St.Jimmy but I think that it is much darker - coming from an internal, aggressive pain. The two disjointed components of the song mimic symptoms of manic-depression brilliantly.

  6. I get slightly disappointed if the radio station doesn't play Jaded right after they've played Brain Stew. I know they're two songs but they're not in my books.

  7. Shit, I hope my brain can hold together through midterms at least

  8. You've lost the ability to love Stop, Drop & Roll, it's only a matter of time before your brain falls apart; I'm just warming up to take your place. It's an honour.

  9. I just got an instant headache when Why Do You Want Him came on shuffle. I think now I understand the people that don't like the earlier stuff for sound quality reasons or whatever. That was fucking weird. It has happened a few times in the past too. Really fucking weird. Switched the song and it went away.

  10. Reminds me of my dream of observing another Big Bang - I was dead and seeing my own death, and then I ended up at some random lecture. Interesting to see somebody dream of a similar impossible scenario on a smaller scale.

  11. I love both those songs. I didn't know it was an unpopular opinion not too. Although I do feel sorry for the cat.

  12. I assume it would taste like lettuce, dandelion and arugula in one same meal, but with a hint of ginger, too.

  15. That album is pure gold. If they could sit down and write a full album in one night, completely smashed, I can only imagine how awesome of a record they're capable of making with more time/effot. (Hold the Trilogy jokes, plz ) I went to buy a Mother Mary 7-inch from ebay today for $7 (plus shipping), and i was about to press the confirm button when I realized that it was a 2009 reissue (as opposed to the "limited" numbered 2008 issues). Does this officially make me an elitist? I feel kind of dirty admitting it. But obviously people must agree with me since the 2008 ones are going for $30+ and the 2009 was under $10.

  18. In this line the middle east is being referred to as being the worst place you can possibly be in the world. While Anaheim the location of Disneyland, which calls itself "The Happiest Place On Earth". So Anaheim was used as it can be seen as the exact opposite to the middle east. Anaheim = Peace, Middle East = War. This is the way I take it anyway.

  20. I'm not sure if this is the interview you're thinking of but there's a similar question asked in this one. It's around the 7:30 mark, and Tre mentions H&H

  21. Interesting! Seems it's not a favourite of his then. Bit of a shame as it's awesome, when I first heard it I hoped it'd become the new St Jimmy live.

  22. The line in "Amy" could be a reference to Winehouse's "Rehab", where there's this line: "I don't ever wanna drink again, I just, oohh, I just need a friend".

  23. I wasn't commenting on the grammar error, just that I had a mental image of Billie looking confused while a goose stood there looking at him just as confused.

  24. Seriously tempted to photoshop Billie talking to a goose.

  25. I think I'd just try to completely play it cool - say hello, shake their hands, thank them for their great music, and try to control my breathing.

  27. Ugh, it still baffles me that they used 99 Revolutions for the opener at every show on that tour...and using that title as the main theme. Nuclear Family would have been a faaaaaaar superior song to open with, IMO.

  28. Your concerts keep getting longer. Pretty soon you will have them playing their entire catalog in one show.
