Yeah could be! Seems like it was quite a heavy and difficult process making the album and the writing was very personal and emotionally invested at times, he's said for example that he doesn't like to listen to Restless Heart Syndrome just because it was kind of an ordeal to make, he could easily have had negative thoughts about other songs as well. Guess it's not a surprise he's more into the still badass and angry but a bit more playful St Jimmy.

Interesting! Seems it's not a favourite of his then. Bit of a shame as it's awesome, when I first heard it I hoped it'd become the new St Jimmy live.

First one has already been corrected but just want to point out he never said H&H sucks , it was just a song he'd written a while before and Butch Vig's idea to use it for the album (he helped a lot with that since they apparently had about 100 songs to choose from), and there was one interview where he was surprised that Tre picked it as his favourite song from the album to play live. He hasn't actually said anything negative about it. Btw I've searched around and watched a ton of 21st Cb era interviews trying to find the one where Tre picked it and Billie was surprised but I can't find it, don't think it's still around He doesn't really mean friend , it's an old fashioned/coy way of saying he wants to get with her. Or in the case of Amy I think he was saying he'd like to have been friends with her so he could've been there for her when she was going through all the problems she had.

Well as long as your friends think pleasing you sexually is what friends do, then it's not so bad.

The line in "Amy" could be a reference to Winehouse's "Rehab", where there's this line: "I don't ever wanna drink again, I just, oohh, I just need a friend".

"No One Knows" is the best song on Kerplunk.

I used to consider Ashley one of the worst but I appreciate it more now, it's a really catchy, bouncy tune and the lyrics "You used to dangle my heart with your puppet strings/You dangled your desires right in front of my face/You led me to the well but wouldn't let me drink/Swallowing my pride I never even got the taste" are just great. The Demolicious version is especially good, it's dirty.
