Unpopular one : Pulling Teeth is one of the best Green Day songs!8 points

Macy's Day Parade is a horribly underrated song. Yes, it has weak guitar parts and stuff, but It's really groovy!4 points

I used to think it was called kindergarden and it was a garden full of kinder eggs.3 points

Sassafras Roots is the weakest for me. As Tom's not here to do it, I'll say so--go listen to the Reading 2004 version. Blows BIAB out of the water.3 points

Anything on BIAB was fucking awesome. I listen to that alot.3 points

The pause is timed so weird it's one of the most intriguing parts of the Trilogy, the last bar before the pause is 3/4 then the pause is a measure of 4/4 then a measure of 3/4 then back to 4/4, it impressed me coming from them.3 points

Since we're on the topic of Dookie, I think Having a Blast is an incredibly written song. I never realized what it was about but now that I do the lyrics really are powerful. I do wonder if the song was at all controversial upon release2 points

I think the emotion Billie puts in to the song makes it better.2 points

I'd say In The End definitely the weakest for me. WICA/She the two strongest2 points

Guys always at least co-produce their albums. So it's not that. Self-producing and that term "production" (that everyone's so fond of throwing around, so I'll just go with it this time) might not necessarily be two different things. A band could self-produce the album and still have an "overproduced" product.2 points

Hmm in the top 5 on tre - tre is a solid album for me2 points

Time for a shiny new thread for all you horrible people (me included) to whine about Green Day. The last thread was getting pretty repetitive and far too big. As ever, keep it civil and on-topic. The last thread caused more than its fair share of arguments, but as long as you don't act like an asshat we shouldn't have a problem. The old thread can be found here. Enjoy!1 point

On When September Ends, in BIAB he was crying through it and it was at the end of the show. If a singer is perfect at the end of the show I start to think they are lip syncing.1 point

I don't hate Baby Eyes. It's not great, but it's not bad. Definitely not as good as Lazy Bones.1 point

How else are kindergarteners supposed to protect themselves from home invasions? Must be a liberal1 point

That's too young to be shoved into a school. No wonder you're so grouchy.1 point
-
Of course it's subjective. Yeah the vocals are dodgy because he is basically crying throughout the whole song.1 point

Any song on BIAB sounds 100000000000000 times better than the studio version, except Good Riddance.1 point

She is an excellent song. And yeah, I know what you mean with the big hits getting overplayed - Basket Case used to be one I listened to pretty much every day, but then I got a bit tired of it and didn't listen to it so much anymore. Then I realised how fucking awesome the BIAB version is.1 point

Yes! Easily in my top ten. A totally catchy and sweet sounding 60s style song with totally disturbing lyrics. Love the dark humour.1 point

Church on Sunday's got great vocals and Macy's Day Parade's are stellar1 point

Dookie to me is barly top 5 really wouldn't be top 5 for me It is what got me into the band back in 94 but I guess years of repeatedly plays has got me against Dookie but to me 21st Insomniac AI Warning Nimrod are easily better imo1 point

Never said anything was overproduced, Tim. Just hypothetical talking, saying that self-producing and "overproduction" isn't the same thing.1 point
-
When I first heard it, my immediate thought was that it's essentially the best of Green Day's general fun, all in one song.1 point
-
Unpopular opinion: Dirty Rotten Bastards, while it is mostly bullshit, is fun and well-written bullshit.1 point

Do you remember the interview they gave on Little Stephen's Underground Garage? They didn't even give Jason a microphone. What does that tell you??1 point

I would absolutely love to see a show where they played 1039 Smooth all the way through. But these are some tracks that would make up my dream set list. With maybe a few more of their hits thrown in.
