  2. Y'know, I was, uh, y'know, watching this video where Billie was erm, y'know, saying 'Y'know' a lot, and y'know. Another random thought: I think Billie pretty much revealed himself to be an undead vampire. There's his looking perpetually young and the thing with The Forgotten of course, but Dirty Rotten Bastards sealed the deal for me. So Dirty Rotten Bastards = Billie summoning his fellow vampires from the grave to destroy the human race. Yes, I think that makes sense, considering you have lyrics like:

  3. The weird thing is I can't imagine what market they think would actually want to buy that shirt. Most Green Day fans wouldn't, and everyone else wouldn't care.

  4. I still don't get how people dislike Nimrod, one of Green Day's greatest albums.

  5. I just had to. I'm sorry. It was literally the first thing that popped into my head after reading your post.

  6. Pretty much every time he played it acoustically live, he tuned his guitar down. If you watch a video from South America 2010, you'll hear him tuning it down. I can't link it, since I'm having a problem with YouTube right now...

  9. Do you remember the interview they gave on Little Stephen's Underground Garage? They didn't even give Jason a microphone. What does that tell you??

  11. So here's a thing I did: Swapped Prosthetic Head and Good Riddance in the running order on Nimrod. It's given me a whole new appreciation of Prosthetic Head. It'd always seemed like a bit of an afterthought after Good Riddance, which I had thought was always suited to being an album closer, but now, the whole thing just sounds much better.

  12. I saw that shirt when Brandon and I walked into our local Hot Topic and before he spotted it I was just like "eh, I changed my mind, let's go to a different store..." Didn't want to deal with him making fun of me and Billie for an hour.

  13. Indeed? I was just guessing. Then it's an extraordinarily bad idea for a tee a pretty tasteless one, too.

  14. The order of Insomniac is pretty much completely mutable - any of the songs would've been good in any sequence (as long as Brain Stew and Jaded run into each other).

  15. That's what I used to do. That's why I changed it with Good Riddance That literally applies to every green day album I do that. I like more songs on Uno than Dos, but literally the only thing Dos has going for it is that it's not quite as repetitive as uno. Same here, apart from Harry Potter. I've never been bad at reading as such, I just find it boring

  16. Yup, I think I know which video are you thinking of... However, he didn't have much to tune since Drop D is only one string difference from standard tuning.

  17. Also I remember him changing guitars before they played Whatsername. He didn't use that guitar for any other song so he apparently prefers playing it in Drop D.

  18. In my opinion, Prosthetic Head is one of the best tracks on Nimrod. Doesn't really get the recognition it deserves.

  19. Looool. His mugshot is a totally uncool and unflattering one, making it even worse . Almost so bad it's good.

  20. Jason is a necessity to the band, without him Green Day shows wouldn't be the same. I love Jason.

  26. That's right. They could have made something ironic, but this is rather a bad idea and moreover looks pretty bad. I wouldn't pay for this.

  27. ^ Billie can be a stage dancer while the rest of the band plays. I'm OK with this.

  28. I rewatched the Behind the Music Remastered I DVRed a couple of weeks ago. Billie said "yknow" 26 times, Mike 22. They've been around each other too much.

  30. Putting in my two-cents about the 21stCB demo: I like it more than the album version and I will never let it go. I remember being completely heartbroken when the album came out and the song was changed. I guess I just didn't understand at the time what demo meant, but the lyrics are twice as good compared to what they released. The vocals were spot on too. That album version is weak in comparison. fucking ace man.
