  3. It amazes me how 10 years have passed since American Idiot and commoners are still using the "old vs new" argument. I literally tell them the same thing I've been saying since middle school: "I know right? Once they made Dookie I just couldn't support them anymore. Total sellouts." It leaves these people scratching their heads. Of course I don't actually think that way, but I find it's more amusing to confuse haters than argue with them.

  4. From Flashback Heart Attack's Don Bronze on fb: " This Friday Dec 19th last Flashback Heart Attack club show of 2014 at the Harp Costa Mesa. Come celebrate the Holidays. Wear an ugly sweater get a prize! Sat flying to Oakland to play the Green Day Holiday party with the boys. Tim Armstrong too? Maybe. See you Friday Costa Mesa." DISCLAIMER: Since I'm the one posting this and I posted "news" posted by numerous members of Flashback Heart Attack before (about "playing with Green Day" when in fact they had Tre jam on two or three songs...quite different than a gig with the band!!) I wish to point out they tend to exaggerate/call one member of Green Day "Green Day" etc. Pinch of salt required with all tweets/facebook updates by this lot methinks.

  6. "Here's to me" -raises glass- "let's find another reason" Perfect line for an alcoholic. "All the Time" = "Drinking Constantly"

  7. To be honest I never really looked into All the Time. I always thought it was a mediocre song. But I'm currently listening to it and now I'm sensing a new found love.

  9. Comparing a band's old music to their newer stuff is inevitable. I do it too. It's hard for me not to reminisce about the "good old days" before 21st Century and the Triology were released, or even back to the early 90's. Fans will continue to support and love a band if they do something different while others lose interest and jump off the wagon. People are gonna call them sellouts for whatever reason, but who cares what the haters think?

  13. Yeah, I'd definitely put No One Knows in 4th place, I keep forgetting that one, even though I was obsessed with it for over a year

  14. That's a factor, but I put the overall feel of a song first. Holden Caulfield is almost in that list, but for some reason it's not one of the songs that's immediately clicked with me. No One Knows also deserves mentioning as one of the only songs that can get a serious emotional reaction out of me.

  17. I'm surprised at how inaccurate lyric websites are lately. They're so completely off on just about every song I've looked up lately.

  22. I was just listening to the jazz radio station and a tune that came on sounded oddly familiar. Turns out it was an instrumental jazz rendition of Mahogany What a time for me to find out that it wasn't an original PHGP song

  23. The new song '20 Years (That’s a Lot Of Beers)' on Bowling For Soup's their new greatest hits album references Green Day. The song is about the things that have happened in the 20 years they have been a band. They reference a few other artists as well. "Green Day has been on Broadway"

  26. My brother was (attempting) to sing Holiday this morning and sang, "Hear those sounds as they do cocaine" as opposed to 'Hear the sound of the falling rain." I thought my misheard lyrics were embarrassing...
