  3. Dookie and their other mid nineties albums are actually produced pretty cleanly, they don't have a raw/demo-like sound. When they made Dookie they originally wanted it to sound really raw and mixed it that way but they found it didn't sound good so they changed their mind and mixed it again. It's very clear/clean sounding, as are all the albums that followed. I don't really associate Green Day with a particularly raw, punk sound, they've always had that pop influence (even on the first two albums, which sound rawer due to the resources that were available to them at that time but still have a large amount of pop elements in the music).

  4. "Suffocate", "Scumbag" and "Outsider" were released on the 'Warning' singles. "Scumbag" was also on the 'American Pie 2' soundtrack. All released the year before 'Shenanigans'. So only "Ha Ha You're Dead" was completely new. EDIT: "Suffocate" was also on the 'Good Riddance' single and on the Australian release of 'Nimrod' from 1998.

  5. It kinda annoys me when fans try to deny Green Day are pop like it's some sort of terrible thing. Yes they are a rock band but there's no denying the fact that they have elements of pop in their music, and there's nothing wrong with that.

  6. Nearly everyone agreeing on the superiority of Demolicious when compared to the Trilogy is a bit eerie. Consensus doesn't suit GDC. It blasphemes against every principle of Internet message boards I'm scared.

  8. I think the plastic under the CD is usually clear so you can just see it when you take the CD out. I don't know how mine ended up with black plastic covering it up! Also I just had a look at it, the pattern I could see was the fabric of Billie's dress lol

  9. That's just reminded me that when I bought International Superhits it had a black tray instead of a clear one for some reason. And one day I noticed that there was a pattern on the paper underneath where the CD was, I could see it through the little hole in the middle of the sticking up bit of plastic that holds the CD in place. And I took it apart and found this photo hiding underneath . That was great.

  15. Ah, right. "Suffocate" was on 'Good Riddance', too. Kinda misleading, yeah. But that's why we're here to help you get your facts straight^^

  16. Haven't Suffocate, Scumbag and Outsider been released on the Warning single with Suffocate being even released on the Good Riddance one? That would mean, respectively, two and five years before Shenanigans.

  18. I'm quite sure Billie farted at some point, within the last 2 hours. I felt in my soul. If that ain't news, I don't know what is. Also, I've been seeing posters all over Oslo, Billie's face is everywhere. I'll try to steal one and upload a decent picture later.
