  1. Paper Lanterns is probably one of GD's best 3 songs pre-Dookie. Such an amazing melody.

  2. couldn't have said it better! there are few people that are considered "great singers" that i like. i like voices that are "true" and have some kind of rawness to them. voices that are distinctive. early bob dylan, joe strummer, mark knopfler, john fogerty, phil ochs, jesse michaels... or to mention a female singer as well: patti smith. that's why i pretty much dislike billie joes attempt to sing "clean" on the trilogy... you know whats the worst? all those shitty pop pseudo punk bands whos singers all sound the same: high, terrible american, whiny voices... urgh. simple plan, all time low and so on...

  8. Rock and Roll Hall of Fame 2015: A look at the potential nominees to be announced in October Newbies Here is a look at newly eligible acts you can take seriously in terms of getting nominated for 2015 induction: Green Day and Nine Inch Nails. Green Day is a shoe-in and will be the first band to ride the Nirvana wave of popular 1990s rock bands entering the Rock Hall. NIN may be a littler iffier, but everything Trent Reznor does these days only adds to his already impressive resume. http://www.cleveland.com/music/index.ssf/2014/09/rock_and_roll_hall_of_fame_201_9.html

  11. I think the studio recording with Billie and the cast of the musical is the best version... Jinx? Filler? Nope. Sorry, not sorry.

  12. I agree. If I was Mike, or any parent, I don't think I'd let random people take pics of my kids. It's creepy.

  13. There's something super off putting about those last tweets. If you don't know someone enough to know their names or you refer to them as 'green day bassist's daughter' or 'green day bassist' then you've got no business putting up photos of them.
