  11. It's a pity though. Back then when he wrote most of the best lyrics of his career he sang them in a way that was nearly impossible to understand, and now when his lyrics would often be better if nobody got them, he sings them clearly

  13. I think X-Kid would have really benefited from a Demolicious redo.

  14. X kid is a great song, often reminds me of my life, like you fell in love but you just fell apart, just look at the straight forward emotions man,, i mean that is the key to the whole songs, and that catchy solo, awesome riffs, and great drums, and and and not to forget, it is from the album that reflects reality "Tre" .. so Cool!! :3

  16. I love Emenius Sleepus. It's a great song in its own right, but it helped me through a time when my then-best friend became a dick, so it holds particular significance to me. That's going in my sig.

  17. Don't forget the echo after 'waste a night or two...' Also the echo after 'and don't wear it out' at the end of St. Jimmy.

  19. I don't ever listen to Nightlife, but I'd prefer Green Day experiment instead of churning out plain boring songs like The Forgotten.

  26. X-Kid might be my favorite song on TRE. These days the trilogy and nimrod are my favorite GD projects to listen to casually.

  28. I was the same way; it made me super stoked to hear it in the trailer for Tre, but according to my iTunes I've only listened to it eight times. It's just a pretty generic song overall, and Billie's double-tracked vocals irritate the shit out of me.

  29. Yeah there's so many ways to interpret/appreciate that album. I do notice and enjoy the story, and the power and emotion in it, but I don't particularly relate to it (which a lot of people give as their main reason for liking it), and don't feel like that diminishes how much I like it either.

  36. Oh those... I finally found my writings of misheard lyrics: Macy's Day Parade "With a credit report of booty calls" Basket Case "Am I just pearanoid, or am I dressed up?" Strangeland "Haaaaajjaaaaaaaaaajaaaaaaahaaaaaaa" (pretty sure those are actual lyrics of the song) Who Wrote Holden Caulfield "There's no party, now I'm lazy, fox is in the deeeeeen" Going to Pasalaqua "Here we go again, mastrubation touches me just when I thought it would be end" Paper Lanterns "It seems I'll get some sex" Letterbomb "Where have all the mustards gone?" Green Day "My fart's comforing me in morning" Nice Guys Finish Last "Your pleasure's like disco going out the drain"

  37. I've just remembered a load of these from a few years ago. "Furred men eat salmon, Ella said oh no" - Hitchin' A Ride "I live inside this mental cave, throw my emotions in the gays, Helen needs them anyway" - Burnout "I am a son of a bitch, a nigger and a pole" - St Jimmy "She assaulted the earth and she's dangerous" - She's A Rebel "Too much too soon, too late and now become an igloo" - Too Much Too Soon "Are you locked up in a world that's before W" - She "I'm not part of Fur Elise I'm just alright" - Stuck With Me "My wallet's farted, so has my head" - Walking Contradiction
