It's a pity though. Back then when he wrote most of the best lyrics of his career he sang them in a way that was nearly impossible to understand, and now when his lyrics would often be better if nobody got them, he sings them clearly

X kid is a great song, often reminds me of my life, like you fell in love but you just fell apart, just look at the straight forward emotions man,, i mean that is the key to the whole songs, and that catchy solo, awesome riffs, and great drums, and and and not to forget, it is from the album that reflects reality "Tre" .. so Cool!! :3

I love Emenius Sleepus. It's a great song in its own right, but it helped me through a time when my then-best friend became a dick, so it holds particular significance to me. That's going in my sig.

X-Kid might be my favorite song on TRE. These days the trilogy and nimrod are my favorite GD projects to listen to casually.

I was the same way; it made me super stoked to hear it in the trailer for Tre, but according to my iTunes I've only listened to it eight times. It's just a pretty generic song overall, and Billie's double-tracked vocals irritate the shit out of me.

Yeah there's so many ways to interpret/appreciate that album. I do notice and enjoy the story, and the power and emotion in it, but I don't particularly relate to it (which a lot of people give as their main reason for liking it), and don't feel like that diminishes how much I like it either.

These songs are like those buttons on calculator that you haven't push in your life, but these buttons are great, Great as an apple pie
