Now, if we're gonna talk songs that should be setlist staples...2 points

Let's end this now I much prefer BOBD to 21 Guns live. They're similar but I think BOBD is just the better song, and I really like the crowd singing a verse. And watching Jason's hands play the end bit is awesome. And waiting for Billie to sing the last "only thing that's beating" going lower and exchanging an amused glance with my sister over it is the best2 points

21 Guns is phenomenal live. I really don't like the studio version, but the 880 Studio Session version is a huge improvement. Here if you haven't heard it: Also, I'm definitely desensitized to how good BOBD is due to years of overplaying it, but I listened to AI in full yesterday and BOBD sounded great again in the context of the whole album.2 points

Don't worry, without having heard what the song is about that's a fine interpretation.2 points

In terms of structure, feel, tempo and that drum fill at the start of the second verse, yes Obviously not otherwise.1 point

I'd rather they kept BOBD but started doing it properly again. I'm really not a fan of the acoustic verse and chorus, and overall it feels really weak without the tremolo guitar. 21 Guns is incredible live though, far better than the studio version.1 point

I always forget just how damn strong BOBD is until I listen to AI in full, which is once a month or so. That being said, I'd be absolutely fine with losing it for good live and bringing back 21 Guns instead (assuming Billie's voice'd be up to it).1 point

well i think if 99 Revolutions were of the same style as in demolicious, it would have definitely banged everyone ahh, well,.. Redbull1 point

so, can they create another 21 guns? ahh,, same old outdated piece of humor ...1 point
-
Well.....no. They've kind of already done "Boulevard of Broken Dreams".1 point

can they create another Boulevard of Broken Dreams??1 point

It had a absolutely no impact since seemingly you still think it as an amazing piece of hard-hitting social critique.1 point

Why does it even matter what pills he was taking and whether he was joking about it previously or not...? I get worrying about him and wondering how his sobriety is going, but I don't see how the details of the substances are even relevant, especially since he's in recovery now.1 point

No, he did that at multiple shows before she in 94, so it wasn't a drug thing, it was a performance routine.1 point
-
Point is without knowing it wasn't a joke there's no point in worrying. And since we already know he was taking drugs anyway there's even less point in worrying. And come on the more recent quaaludes thing clearly sounds like a joke, and since we don't know otherwise again no point in worrying. And if any of it wasn't a joke it's not our business to speculate about anyway.1 point
-
Why is this even a discussion? In what way is it ok to discuss what meds he may or may not have ever been on. There will be speculations at times on other websites but I don't see why it needs to come here. It's just tacky and insensitive.1 point
-
Wasn't he joking about rohypnol? He was probably joking about quaaludes too, like "oh I forgot his name, I must be on something!". During a light hearted interview or moment in a show I wouldn't assume it was anything more than a joke without knowing, seems an unlikely situation to make a serious confession.1 point

It's the first Green Day song I ever heard. It was used as a promo for some TV show when I was in high school. So don't you bad mouth it!1 point

Yesterday someone called me an "outlaw" at work, and the next person responded by saying "yeah, she's a rebel!" There's no way that wasn't intentional. They know.1 point
