Says the man who ranks Tre above Warning and Nimrod.2 points

And Godwin's Law is proven once again, but isn't that a bit extreme? The Trilogy's not the best, but it didn't commit genocide.2 points

Well then I must insist that you're out of your fucking tree. Demo versions of all songs > album versions.2 points

Lazy Bones is about how Billie once overslept and missed his plane to Brazil, causing an entire tour to be cancelled.2 points

I think I'd probably go along with that top 5. I like Let Yourself Go, but it's probably not top 5. I'd have a different order, though. Stay the Night, Kill the DJ, Nuclear Family, Rusty James and Fell for You. Mind you, the Demolicious version of Rusty James is better than the original.1 point

I can't deal with Oh Love much either its very repetitive and over stays its welcome for me.1 point

It's ok, when I first heard Brutal Love I thought it was a Green Day song.1 point

By Numbers was a consequence of that draining Lifehouse caused. But i guess Lifehouse drained him nearly completely, but after that he amazingly found some power to make Quadrophenia. Like after that failure he wanted to show he can still create an epic album. But after the pain of the cancelled Lifehouse and Quadrophenia which was made by the last traces of willpower he had, it feels like Who By Numbers was just him vomiting it all out. And after that....yes basically i agree with your point. It would be the same as if John Lennon had released something like A Hard Days Night after The Plastic Ono Band, I guess, if that makes sense.1 point

Remember the "Trilogy is Underrated" thread? I think half of my current rep came from that thread alone. I miss the days when arguing about it was fun and not just a broken record on both sides' behalf.1 point

I honestly think it beats Tommy; I love that album, but it hasn't aged well in several ways.1 point

so i'm gonna guess the fact that fell for you is one of my favorite songs on the entire trilogy is an unpopular opinion1 point

Just saw Hayley Paramore reblogged this pic... and I think I haven't seen it before1 point

That's understandable. Who'd have ever imagined Fell For You would be a grower?1 point

It actually gets less stale for you as time goes on? That quite honestly blows my mind.1 point

I went through a period like this from about mid 2010 to early 2012. I picked up the interest again when the Trilogy was announced and was really quite excited when it was released. So you can imagine my disappointment when I heard it1 point

I see what you mean and kind of feel the same. I got into them with American Idiot and obviously they were at the height of their powers, and seeing them on the Breakdown tour couldn't have been more perfect. It's totally understandable that things have gone the way they have, because they're getting older, that level of activity can't go on forever, they want to experiment with other things and obviously Mike's kind of preoccupied now, but it's still kind of sad and not the best time to be a fan. I don't think they're over by a long shot though, it's just a rough patch.1 point

I love Fuck Time, so I guess that belongs in this thread. I wish they'd used the solo from Cuatro, though.1 point

I prefer Fuck Time live the energy of it is lost in studio form1 point

Fall Out Boy covered Basket Case during their 2007 tour. It didn't sound too bad when I saw them but Patrick's voice is a bit too whiny? :/1 point
