  1. A decent song that could have easily replaced Carpe Diem/Loss of Control/Let Yourself Go on ¡Uno!.

  3. I love Fuck Time, so I guess that belongs in this thread. I wish they'd used the solo from Cuatro, though.

  4. Fuck Time is ok, but the chorus riff and solo are damn good - they save it for me. The cover album was very meh. Some good songs, some bad songs, but overall meh. Having said that, I think it's fantastic that American Idiot is still relevant enough that all those bands wanted to cover it, and I respect all of them for doing it.

  8. by going back to roots they meant that they were in studios... making songs together, by having band practices, making demos, they never meant, that the'll be sounding like Dookie again!! Remember --- Second Day is always better than the first!!

  9. ehh yeah I can see where you're coming from, although recently Offspring has changed it up a bit. Either way in my opinion the Trilogy for me at least is sort of an alluding breath of fresh air from the band after the whole concept album stuff. I think that's what they were trying to go for, but could've done it a bit better of they kept the guitars the way they had them on Demolicious

  10. I think it's because after all 5 albums, Billie still felt 'wonderful' and wanted to show that on the greatest hits album.

  14. I didn't know they did it intentionality, but yes, crap is pretty much all they have ever done sorry no offence. I dont like its lyrics and it could have been better if it was completely acoustic/completely electric. The melody is ok I guess.

  15. I also think it's their best album, everyone knew Green Day after American Idiot I'm pretty sure it's Billie Joe's favorite album too although Insomniac is my personal favorite.

  18. do you really expect them to do something for american idiot's 10th anniversary ? i mean it would definitely be amazing but they didn't do anything for dookie neither besides from playing it front to back a few times maybe i'm wrong, though, we never know

  21. I still think Warning is their best album ever

  22. People did take it the wrong way, since Green Day never said they were going back to their roots. When they were in the early stages of making the albums they said that they were at the stage of being "back to the roots" of making an album, purely just talking about how far along they were and not commenting on what it'd sound like at all, then a crappy article reported that they'd said the new album would be back to their roots and like Dookie and others ran with it, and then people expected an album like Dookie. The whole thing was a fabrication.

  23. the whole "pre-AI" aspect of things as you put it to me is what they were talking about with the whole "Green Day is going back to their roots" concept. I think everyone took that the wrong way, maybe thinking with the general "construction" of the album for lack of a better word, but to me I think what you said is what they meant

  24. yes. Thank you I love this song it's like a lullaby that is sort of panicked that seems to have a deeper meaning behind the words, I wonder if it was the original Angel Blue because it has the "singing out the alphabet and my tears are putting out my cigarette" in it.

  38. They're the only band I know, and I actually don't hate them. I feel like St. Jimmy might almost work for them. No clue who the rest of the "bands" performing on the album are, but I don't exactly have high hopes. If I don't hate it, I'll be impressed.

  39. A bigger, wider release = more profit, and proper mastering, editing and choosing the best performance of each song from the tour makes for a better final product.
