You see every song that's been written on this earth or mars whichever you consider... goes to street with a deep influence and a deep meaning.. and hearts collide is one such song!!.. only people who have their heart's collide with another would understand it!!!2 points

What does "you're the card in my valentine and the candy hearts in my mind" even mean?2 points

They were political but they most certainly weren't promoting war at all. I don't even know where you could get that from.1 point

Agreed. Good Riddance played acoustically on Bullet in a Bible just wouldn't work.1 point

Good Riddance is better when performed on electric guitar than acoustic.1 point

A bigger, wider release = more profit, and proper mastering, editing and choosing the best performance of each song from the tour makes for a better final product.1 point

Well that's an unpopular opinion that I share!1 point

My unpopular opinion is that the O2 Priority queue at the Brixton gig was fantastic.1 point

Ahh the GDC awards. I need to regain my Least Likely to Win an Award title this year1 point

what's the sense of recording every show of a tour and then just release one edited show ? To just have a hand full of those recordings would be enough to me1 point

Woman, I don't need to campaign. I've won Runner-Up Best Musician for the last like 5 years, and I don't even post music anymore.1 point

sorry to reveal the sad fact, but I cannot understand a word you are saying. Or what you mean...could you please try to write more clear and understandable posts? Thanks.1 point

I think The Network is more about doing a parody of 80s music and being funny than good songs tbh, although I do enjoy a lot of the songs musically as well as for the amusement factor. Foxboro Hot Tubs is just great 60s style music and much less of a joke so naturally it's going to be better. I mean pretty much all The Network's lyrics are tongue in cheek or a flat out joke whereas Foxboro Hot Tubs have some real heartfelt, thoughtful and dark lyrics not far from ordinary Green Day. And a lot of The Network's music is an intentionally ridiculous and over the top version of 80s music whereas Foxboro Hot Tubs' music just sounds like 60s songs without being silly. I appreciate them each for what they are, a parody band not to be taken seriously and a fabulous and fun retro style band.1 point

Aww Hearts Collide is pure sweetness! And co-written by Mike which makes it even sweeter somehow . Great melody and harmonies too.1 point

Definitely underrated. Not a big fan of Lights Out. Mind you, I guess it is a b-side ...1 point

Maybe he thinks that bikes look like tits from the side. Or something. I'll just be eternally grateful he didn't go for skateboard-cellent fanny tbh.1 point

I've literally never seen it available on its own anywhere, therefore it doesn't exist.1 point

Well yeah. At least Last Ride In is something different and I think it's pretty good. Nice Guys is just a dull, terrible way to start an album that good.1 point

On top of what I said before, it could be down to the fact that Billie is endorsed by Gibson and Mike by Fender, both of whom make their own amps. There could be some kind of clash there where the band aren't allowed to advertise Marshall amps as a result.1 point
-
There could be a few reasons. It might be to do with not wanting to endorse the product, or if it was being filmed for TV then they might not want to give the company free advertising. I know they use Marshalls but I don't think they're endorsed by them or anything, so that's probably it. Or maybe they just don't like the look of plastic logos on the front of their amps, haha.1 point

I thought I could trust you with matters of Englishness. "So damn bored I'm going blind" is delivered with one of the most obvious California twangs ever.1 point
-
Absolutely. That's some serious next level shit right there, totally on another level entirely.1 point

I agree with all those points. The way Jaded is edited out is just hilariously done, makes me cringe every time. I just don't understand the decision to cut certain songs, especially Homecoming and Knowledge. Ultimately I'm glad we've got it and it is worth a watch, but as soon as you engage your brain you just think "wtf is going on?"1 point
