  1. Insomniac is severely neglected by the band in terms of live shows. Some of the songs have never even been played once! I'd love it if they'd occasionally add some of those lesser known songs into the setlist, and rehearse them beforehand so they don't mess up

  3. I'm hoping that in twenty years when all the "They sold out!" arguments have died out and they're remembered as the guys who had the amazing run of albums including two bona fide classics, the guys will have enough clout to put out a "Complete Bullet in a Bible" like The Who did with Live at Leeds.

  5. Hypothesis: If you dislike anything on Bullet in a Bible, you're a cunt. Conclusion: You're all cunts. Additional notes: But lovely cunts

  6. Billie's agnostic. He's literally said "I'm agnostic" on more than one occasion (the first being in like 1994), and has always indicated the same in his comments about religion (like a few weeks ago he said "I'm not an atheist btw" on Instagram). I don't think Mike has said what he is but I get the impression he's not too different from Billie on it, they mention praying etc the same amount in any case. Tre hasn't specifically said he's atheist but I think he probably is, I've never heard him say anything about religion (or just the idea of a god existing) that wasn't totally disparaging and anti it, he has no problem saying "he doesn't exist" when the subject of God comes up for example. He was brought up in a pretty alternative manner and was in a band playing songs called "Fuck Religion" and stuff since he was 11 whereas Billie (and I think Mike as well) was brought up in a religious household, so not too surprising if that's the case. Having a problem with organised religion/aspects of organised religion, as Green Day clearly do, doesn't mean you can't personally believe that a god exists/might exist, they're pretty much two different things.

  7. I always was curious what the act of "sappearing" as opposed to "dissappearing" was.

  8. Bullet in a Bible's CD is boring, its DVD is great. AAF's DVD is annoying with its "Hey look how many effects I can use on the footage! Who wants to see the audience again?!" thing but the CD is fantastic.

  11. I agree with all those points. The way Jaded is edited out is just hilariously done, makes me cringe every time. I just don't understand the decision to cut certain songs, especially Homecoming and Knowledge. Ultimately I'm glad we've got it and it is worth a watch, but as soon as you engage your brain you just think "wtf is going on?"

  12. Random question: On the 21st CBD tour during the interlude between Brain Stew and Jaded when Billie got the water guns out etc, what were the Tshirts that he fired out into the crowd? Were they just the standard tour tshirts or something a little special?

  14. I don't think anyone counts the Sweet Children songs But yeah, for me, Insomniac has always been my least favourite of their 'mainstream' albums.

  15. Mega jealous that he got his signed. I have the 45, got it direct from Max Recordings (owned by Burt of The Big Cats) It was released 2010 and is on itunes too I believe.

  16. I wouldn't say it's typical of the US beyond the fact that we have a Christian majority. Some that aren't religious will say to keep X in their thoughts, but you're correct that saying "pray" doesn't necessarily indicate religiousness.

  17. ha! That is my friend Ryan's signed record. We went to that Avengers / California show in SF Friday night together. We were both curious as to the origins of this Single because there doesn't appear to be much about it online, other than it was for "vinyl appreciation" on Max Records a few years back. Apparently Jason recorded it in Berkeley with Colin Brooks (The Big Cats) on drums and someone else on bass, on a whim. Cool!

  18. Okay, I know this sounds really stupid, but when I was three years old, I remember my mom playing "When I Come Around" in the car... And we driving past a friends house, and I knew that the lady that lived there was named Lauretta. For some reason, that just got in my head, and I thought that the song went "Here I come, Lauretta" instead of "When I come around"... Of course I eventually learned the right lyrics, but looking back on it, it's kinda funny.

  20. I'm sure this has been asked before, but what is this? You can't link directly to song listings on ASCAP so I took a screenshot. It's there, under Billie's page if you want to go see it. Is it just something they licensed and never spoke about again?
