  1. I love Last Night On Earth. It's a fairly standard love song but I really don't think the lyrics are cheesy. They're just open, honest and simple. There's a difference.

  2. So I just asked Frank Turner what his favorite Green Day song is on a twitter q&a and he said Longview! Cheeky

  3. FALSE! He says "My beating heart belongs to you." In all seriousness, while the lyrics are undeniably simple to the point of charming naivete, the melody and the overall sweet slow-dance atmosphere save it.

  4. Ah gotcha. The production of everything on American Idiot and Nimrod is pretty much perfection

  7. No Well none of my friends like GD so I highly doubt it haha. I don't think my parents would be too happy about hearing that at my wedding

  8. It has a major to minor harmony shift over the E power chord before dropping to B, therefore it's musical genius.

  9. My BEATING heart. There's a difference Edit: Oh, Darth Vader already pointed that out. Awwwwwwwwwwwww cuuuuuuuuuuuuuttttttttteeeeee I like both of them very much. LOTAG is better live (the few times they played it). Murder City is epic though.

  12. Static Age has great verse melodies, I can see where people get tired of the chorus but I still like it. Plus the bridge is probably a top 5 bridge for GD. Incredible

  16. Shame I was referring to the live EP and not the song But yes. That live acoustic version is absolutely fucking amazing.

  17. For me it was my favourite on the album for the first few months. It did wear thin faster than any other song on the album and the Disneyfied production is a bit offputting, but I still think it's a decent song. Just suffers from being so repetitive. The live version is clearly much better, I wish they'd included a live recording on AAF or Last Night On Earth.

  18. I'm completely the opposite I've liked it ever since I heard it. Particularly the verse melody. Though the choruses are a bit boring. Glad someone else likes the solo though!

  19. I'm not sure anyone has ever known any of the words to some of them, so it wouldn't really matter.
