  1. I still refuse to accept it. Our dear old Tomnomnom had a mental breakdown and became Not Anyone, before eventually turning to Cocaine, literally. Every three seconds, another innocent person succumbs to Moditis. Please like this post, so that more awareness can be raised to battle this cruel, debilitating illness and to avoid another case like Tomnomnom's

  5. I think the first half of Chump could have been my favorite song off of Dookie. The melody and the runs are perfect. Lyrics are solid as well. But the long instrumental, while not bad, doesn't do much for me. I almost always skip it after the singing is over.

  7. I wouldn't say it sucks, but it's definitely my least favorite song on Dookie.

  8. On the contrary, I think that instrumental and its overall breaking down/chaotic feel is what makes Chump special. I did notice that they never play it quite the same as the album version in shows though. (It's faster though, so that isn't a minus point.) P.S. Wait, who the hell's Cocaine?

  10. Hitchin A Ride was my favourite from the soundwave setlist. I never understand any of your technical stuff - I just like what I hear

  11. Wow. I think I need to sit down. Hitchin' A Ride, seriously? I do really like it as a song but I only listen to live versions these days, the overcompression in the choruses is really grating to me.

  12. Hitchin' a Ride might be my favorite Green Day song to listen to. Not my fave overall (that's JOS, clearly), but it's replaced Castaway as top earworm for me. Not that Castaway isn't still fucking amazing.

  21. Ok, here's Geek Stink Breath and Brain Stew/Jaded with louder vocals. Personally I think they're miles better quieter, but whatever. Brain Stew is fucking trippy with those vocals, though.

  22. Depends on the performance. In the one you linked he's using chords, but he's moving around them. Like he isn't strumming all six strings for G, just some. If you want that effect just "try" to play the individual notes but don't be precise about it and hit the surrounding strings as well.

  23. When Billie plays Good Riddance live acoustically, does he just use straight chords (aside from the solo), or does he use individual notes. For instance, what is he doing at the beginning here:
