  1. I don't get why Green Day fans seem to hate it when they do a slower paced song.

  5. Just thinking about this the other day: I think if I could choose one song that I'd kill to see them play live in person, it'd be Stuart And The Ave. There's really no recording of it live, and it is such a fantastic song. The lyrics, bass line, and melody all come together perfectly. One of my top 10 favorite songs so I would do some unspeakable things to see them play it. Some other songs that I'd kill to see include Homecoming, 80, and Castaway among others but Stuart and the Ave tops all

  7. The Sweet Children EP is hands down the worst thing they've done. They got some unexpected studio time and had nothing better to record than some songs they wrote when they were like 14 that they'd never considered good enough to record before in all that time since they were written so they thought they might as well quickly record them (in bad quality). So no surprise. Honourable mention to I Want To Be Alone. Don't mind any of them though, quality is poor but the youthful enthusiasm that went into them and shines through is good, they're cute to listen to. I don't think there is a Green Day song I don't enjoy in some way and wouldn't ever want to listen to, dunno if that's unpopular!

  8. Part of that's actually the reason why I don't like their covers of Don't Want to Know if You're Lonely and I Fought the Law - they aren't too different from the originals, but Husker Du and The Clash did it way better. Everytime I hear Troublemaker I can't help but hear it as a sort of string of (cheap-ish) pickup lines.

  12. I think the demos in the upcoming EP/Album thing, Demolicious, are gonna be better than the songs in the trilogy. I mean, while the songs are still being put together and made, everything still has that raw sound to it yknow? And plus, the hint Mike gave us through his hashtag on IG, saying something like "this is what the trilogy would sound like if we were still with Lookout records". I think that makes us all look forward to hearing the songs in Demolicious, since the majority of Green Day fans like the "old" shit better than the "new" shit.

  13. Sometimes I think why didn't they choose to include, you know, You Can't Fool Me or World vs. World (?) if they was gonna record that. I did like My Generation though. Now I would have liked Sweet Children better if I had a bloody clue what Billie is saying. I can't follow him because I don't understand half the words coming out of his mouth.

  15. The koolaid thing references the Jonestown massacre where they drank koolaid that had been poisoned. I suppose it's to do with following blindly without question, the narrator is jumping the gun with the girl. Unpopular opinion: homecoming is my favourite out of that and Jesus of suburbia.

  33. It's not their fault if AI worked well. 21cb, I can understand because of the copy-paste of AI and the overproduction, but AI, it's..... I find it very ambitious and well written and... And I love every song from it. It's the first time I hear this (unpopular) opinion
