Also in the chorus of "Stuart and the Ave." though. There's a difference between its being present in the chorus and its smothering the chorus.3 points

I sort of like the censored one better too, apart from the chorus. "Hold him underwater till he suffocates and drowns" is such an vivid line.2 points

Armatage Shanks is one of Green Day's best intro songs, beneath only American Idiot. Nuclear Family comes close...2 points

Kill the DJ is pretty cool apart from the choruses. A funky riff, slightly off-the-wall lyrics and a new sound for Green Day. Was never a good single though coz of the swearing.2 points

In context though, St Jimmy is incredible after AWtW I was about to post this until I saw you'd done it The list is ridiculous, though. A few slides later: That's just idiotic, if you even remotely know what the "song" is2 points

Exactly! A lot of what's wrong with the Trilogy is that it seems like a forced devolution from what they were doing on the previous two albums. You can track their work all the way from Insomniac to Breakdown and each one feels like a natural progression, then you get to Uno and it's like "what happened?"2 points

And much more relevant to where the band was personally at that time, lyrically and musically2 points

99 Revs doesn't deserve the hate it gets. My one gripe with it is the annoying chorus. And that it was released too late, but as an individual song, it's alright. It has a slightly different song structure (by which I mean it doesn't follow the verse chorus verse chorus solo chorus thing that most of the trilogy does), a cool riff and the verses are great. The ending is a bit annoying, but it's not their worst.2 points

I just can't even fathom why you would even chose Oh Love as a reason to put uno ahead of dos!1 point

I love Amy. Wild ones good, Wow that's loud, Ashley, Lazy bones, I like Baby Eyes (don't hang me), Stop when the red lights flash is good although the studio version is too short. Stray heart....1 point

Can't remember if I already posted this or not. Or maybe I'm just so used to seeing that gif of him bumping her w/his fist.1 point

And I need to stop attempting to convert you and just reconcile myself to the fact that you're not going to join me in Trilogy heaven But not actually promising that I will, it's fun.1 point

There's a difference between being spontaneous and "Umm, I can't think of a proper adjective...FUCK! Wait, that'll work."1 point

I think the point is it shouldn't be, though. Not so many times, anyway. It just screams of "I can't get this line to scan, I'd better throw a few fucks in."1 point

Funny, I like the censored version better.1 point

Same here, but radio stations wouldn't like the swearing, even if it were censored. There's no point playing a song where half the chorus is missing. That's obviously why they released a clean version, but it just killed the song. In fact it made the chorus even worse!1 point

I think it have that American Idiot feeling... Its a pretty cool song1 point

Yeah, by the time it was released it was nearly awkward how irrelevant it was. It would have been an awesome single for the 5-10 minutes the Occupy thing was actually relevant.1 point

Just saw an interview with Billie where he says that Uno is like old school Green Day, like Dookie and Kerplunk. Jesus Christ, no. Just, no. Never.1 point

Billie Joe's mud on the list 4 Weird Objects Thrown at Singers in Concert http://www.newser.com/story/182956/4-weird-objects-thrown-at-singers-in-concert.html Network and Foxboro Hot Tubs mentioned. "Likewise, see how Green Day have adopted new identities for their side-projects - the new wave electric enigma The Network and vintage garage rock group Foxboro Hot Tubs (the latter of which features frontman Billie Joe Armstrong going by the name Reverend Strychnine Twitch)." http://www.denofgeek.com/movies/the-grand-budapest-hotel/29600/the-james-clayton-column-wes-anderson-and-auteurs-with-an-identity1 point

Don't say that Lions are beautiful animals, they have to kill in order to survive, and that's nature Well, I understand if you don't like them but they're not assholes And I wouldn't compare Billie with them either. He has enough annoying, unnecesary comparisons and the only thing people talk about is that Billie Joe is SO Billie Joe I don't know if that makes sense, but I mean that he's one and only therefore nothing compares to him.1 point

I like the Trilogy! And I have no idea why people complain about it. When the secret shows were happening and we were hearing these songs for the 1st time everyone loved it and loved the songs, suddenly the albums come out and half the people change there minds and hate it all of a sudden, 1 year later everyone hates it. And you know why.... Everyone has a short attention span these days, shiny new things are all people seem to want, then when its not new any more everybody hates it and keeps shouting about what they want next. Enjoy the now a little more!1 point
