I know this is old, but I was rewatching the Rig Rundown that was posted a year ago and noticed that after 5:00 when he's explaining Billie's acoustic guitars, he mentions that the acoustic one we've been seeing him play for the last few years is actually "The Everly Brothers guitar" and that it was designed by the Everly's father! At the time this obviously meant very little to most of us, but looking back it's really amazing and makes everything come full circle. (To be clear, it's not that it belonged to the Everlys, just that it was the same model) Rig Rundown - Green Day's Billie Joe Armstrong, Mike Dirnt & Jason White It also means that the guitar that Billie gave to the Everly family at the Grammys, in a weird way, always belonged to them. (At least by design).

The trilogy needed more distortion and less tambourine. Also the lyrics are bollocks. Lyrics sound like they were came up with in 20 minutes.

"99 Revolutions" is among them, which never fails to make me sad and shake my head at Billie.

this guy reviewed the concert at Emirates in June. took him awhile. The concert took place at the Emirates in North London which allowed an audience of monumental proportions to fill it. Ignore me. When I posted yesterday, it had been a very long, bad day. But thanks for the kind words. And yeah, I'm the one who posted the pix of Billie Joe from the iHeart show. You know, those pix. Yes, that was my Tumblr, but I deleted it a couple months ago. (I have no idea why those posts are on there now; I certainly didn't post them. I'm not on Tumblr at all anymore.) One fandom got into some trouble regarding copyrighted photos. A couple fansites were "caught" for copyright infringement and had to pay hefty fines to a professional photographer b/c they used his pictures on their sites. One of these fansites removed their photo gallery entirely. I decided it was best to delete my Tumblr. One of the reasons I like the picture threads on GDC is b/c they're protected - you have to be a member to see them so there's (a little) more security. And now, a pic of the birthday boy:

Just listening to the 21st Century Breakdown demo for the first time in ages, and I think I prefer it to the album version, especially lyrically.

The gray stubble looks REALLY good. I may have more pix from this event.
